The Borgata Deep Stack Tournament took place over a five-day period and culminated yesterday with Joe "Bobo" Cappello as the last player standing and almost $283,000 richer.
The goal of the event was to give players a chance to compete in a multiple-day tournament by providing large starting stacks and a structure similar to that of World Poker Tour events, but for half the prize. The $5,200 buy-in main event began Nov. 11 with 172 players, which generated a prize pool of $860,000.
The following are the final table payouts:
| Place | Name | Hometown | Winnings |
| 1 | Joe Cappello | New Rochelle, New York | $283,800 |
| 2 | Aaron Been | Tallahassee, Florida | $150,500 |
| 3 | Emad Alabsi | Wickliffe, Ohio | $86,000 |
| 4 | Leonard Green | Huntingdon Vyal, Pennsylvania | $64,000 |
| 5 | Ira Razmjou | Mclean, Virginia | $47,300 |

| 8 | Feming Chan | West Windsor, New Jersey | $25,800 |
| 9 | Bruce Klein | Arlington, Virginia | $17,200 |
Although this was Cappello's largest cash to date, he has numerous other major cashes. He recently came in runner-up in a $1,850 buy-in no-limit hold'em preliminary event at the WPT World Poker Finals last week. Cappello also won two prelims at the 2007 Wynn Classic just after he bubbled the televised final table of the WPT Winter Poker Open. He now has more than $675,000 in lifetime tournament winnings.
Card Player Media-represented player Lee Childs also cashed in this event, finishing in 15th place.
