Industry News: Maestro Poker Removed From iPoker

Rakeback Violations Cited in Ejection of Poker Room From Europe's Largest Network

Maestro Poker has been removed from Europe's largest poker network, iPoker, for offering rakeback deals to affiliates and players in direct violation of iPoker network policy.

iPoker does not allow rakeback and is making major efforts to combat it. Recently, the network has fined card rooms, and the latest development is the banishment of Maestro Poker.

The company said, "As a result of the many rakeback cases found in recent months, iPoker now has a 'zero tolerance' towards rakeback, and rooms violating the network policy may face significant fines, as well as termination from the iPoker Network."

The iPoker network hosts some of Europe's most popular cardrooms, including Titan Poker, Bet365, Expekt, Blue Square, Paddy Power and others. Figures from pokersitescout.com show that the network averages more than 4,300 real-money table players with daily peaks of well over 8,000 concurrent real cash table players, and is growing faster than any of the other leading cardrooms.
