Trond Eidsvig Wins Amsterdam Master Classics

Norwegian Triumphs at Third Final Table in Three Months Bring Total Winnings to Almost €1 Million


The popular Amsterdam Master Classics main event, the €5,000 buy-in Lido Poker Championship, attracted 428 runners Local hero Noah Boeken pipped at the postlast week, creating a total prize pool of €2,140,000.

The event was won in the early hours of Sunday morning by Norwegian Trond Eidsvig, who recently came fourth at the EPT Dublin event and fifth at the EPT Barcelona tournament.

Eidsvig trumped Mike Martin when he flopped two pair and enticed Martin to call an all-in bet on the river. The Dane collected €620,600 for his victory while Martin picked-up €368,080.

Also making the final table were former EPT-winner Noah Boeken (fourth), former WPT winner Christian Grundtvig (seventh), and multiple WSOP-finalist Tony Bloom (ninth).
