It has been an action-packed week at the top of the World Series of Poker Circuit titles leaderboard. On Mar. 3, Maurice Hawkins won his record-tying 18th gold ring in the WSOPC Horseshoe Baltimore main event, a tournament that also made headlines for a controversial mistaken elimination.
A handful of days later, Ari Engel broke the tie. Engel took down a WSOP Circuit Online $500 buy-in event in Pennsylvania to set a new record with 19 rings.
The following day, Daniel Lowery put himself one win behind Hawkins by coming out on top in the 2025 WSOP Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa $250 seniors event. The Sawmill owner and part-time poker player from Arkansas topped the field of 448 entries to earn $17,187 and his 17th WSOPC title.
Lowery now has $1,890,333 in WSOPC earnings, the second-highest total of any player on the tour. He trails only Hawkins, who has accrued more than $3.1 million across his 174 WSOPC cashes.
This was the 172nd in-the-money finish in a WSOPC event for Lowery. His largest payday on the tour came when he took down the main event at the 2017 WSOPC Choctaw stop for $258,784.
In between Hawkins’ and Engels’ wins, Joshua Reichard also secured his 16th ring, coming out on top in a $400 H.O.R.S.E. tournament at the recently completed Horseshoe Hammond stop. That gives all top four contenders in the rings race a win within the span of a week.
