Full Tilt Online Poker Series VI Starts Wednesday

Series Features 16 Events, Another Two-Day Tournament, and $9 Million in Guaranteed Prize Pools

The quarterly Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) starts its sixth installment on Wednesday, and participants are guaranteed more than $9 million in prize pools, the most ever for the series.

This quarter's series, which runs from Nov. 7-18, has 16 events and features four events with guaranteed prize pools of $1 million or more. To combined guaranteed prize pool for the series comes to $9,125,000. As a comparison, August's FTOPS, the fifth iteration of the series, had 14 events and $7 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The newest addition to the tournament lineup is a no-limit hold'em knockout tournament (or, as it is most commonly known, a bounty tournament). Full Tilt introduced such knockout tournaments to its site very recently and is promoting the new variant with this event in this series. The knockout tournament has a buy-in of $150 (with $13 entry fee), $30 of which goes toward that player's bounty. Each time a player is eliminated, his bounty goes to the person who knocked him out. That knockout tournament will be held on the final day of the series, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. ET. Satellites into the event start at as low as $4.40 for a tier-one satellite to $26 for a direct-entry satellite. Satellites are also available for Full Tilt Points (FTPs) for buy-ins starting at just 50 FTPs.

Also being introduced for this series is the Bouncebackability Freeroll. The players who finish on the money bubble for each FTOPS event will automatically be entered into a freeroll tournament that awards a seat into the $535 main event.

Reappearing this time around, after its inception in the previous series, is the two-day no-limit hold'em event. This event has a buy-in of $2,500 (with $120 entry fee), has a $1.5 million guarantee, and starts on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. ET. Satellites into this event start at $15 or 300 FTPs (both tournaments pay out in $75 tournament tokens which can be used to enter larger buy-in satellites). Direct-entry sit-and-gos are running for $615 and $357.

The FTOPS main event will feature a $2 million guarantee, which is the same as it was in August. The main event will have a buy-in of $500 (with $35 entry fee). Players can earn entry into the main event through a plethora of satellite opportunities. The biggest opportunity is the $109 buy-in 100-seat-guaranteed tournament to be held on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. ET. Otherwise, players can qualify for as little as $4.40 or 50 FTPs via tier one satellites. August's main event had 4,578 entrants, which meant a prize pool of $2,289,000 and a first-place prize of $395,905. CrazyZachary was the eventual winner of that event.

Full Tilt will also be awarding each event winner with an exclusive golden FTOPS jersey and jersey avatar (that's one for the live felts and one for the digital felts). Other prizes being given out include limited-edition FTOPS baseball caps for all players who finish in the money in any event and FTOPS baseball caps and jackets for all players who reach a final table.

The other games featured in the series include Omaha, seven-card stud, H.O.R.S.E., razz, and, of course, lots of hold'em. The series also has plenty of shorthanded and rebuy events on the schedule.
