Nick "Nickym998" Morris Finishes as Runner-Up, MyRabbiFoo Takes Down $750,000 Guarantee at Full Tilt

PokerStars Sunday Million

The PokerStars Sunday Million had a somewhat disappointing turnout last night. While the event still had in excess of 6,000 entrants, making it easily the biggest weekly $200 buy-in tournament, the 6,398 entrants this week was a decent-sized decrease from last week's 6,524 entrants. The total prize pool for last night's tournament came to $1,279,600, meaning the first-place finisher stood to earn $184,000 barring any deals at the final table.

But a deal there was, as the final four players decided to chop based on stack sizes, leaving $30,000 on the line for the eventual winner. WhatArunAA was the short stack at the time the deal was made and Nick "nickym998" Morris was the chip leader. WhatArunAA proved that he was aptly named and went on a run to get heads up with nickym998 and eventually take down the entire tournament, earning a total of $99,472, including the additional $30,000 for winning. Nickym998, however, was the leading money-winner of the event. He earned $136,287 as a result of the deal.

The final results were:

  1. WhatArunAA – $99,472 *
  2. Nick "nickym998" Morris – $136,287 *
  3. MarktheShark – $78,446 *
  4. Francix – $88,357 *
  5. erras – $41,075

  7. Mutleyj9 – $21,113
  8. Pappiri – $12,796
  9. Ben "bfineman" Fineman – $7,933

* Payout reflects a four-way deal made at the final table.

Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee

Eric 'basebaldy' BaldwinThere were 3,751 entrants in last night's $750,000-guaranteed event on Full Tilt, which meant that the tournament avoided an overlay by two entrants (3,750 entrants would generate a prize pool of exactly $750,000). Thus, the tournament had a prize pool of $750,200, and the first-place prize was $132,822. This was a slight improvement upon last weekend's attendance, when the tournament lured 3,734 entrants, but was great news for the tournament, in general, as it has required an overlay five of the nine times that it has been held.

The final four players standing were Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin, Eugene "myrabbifoo" Katchalov, SenorBubby, and hustlerpoke. Basebaldy and hustlerpoke went out in that order, earning $41,411 and $52,514, respectively. SenorBubby made it to heads up versus myrabbifoo, but myrabbifoo outlasted his opponent to snag the top prize.

The final results were:

  1. Eugene "myrabbifoo" Katchalov – $132,822
  2. SenorBubby – $80,271
  3. hustlerpoke – $52,514
  4. Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin – $41,411
  5. ChipSteela – $31,058
  6. knet_poker – $23,031
  7. bobcards2 – $17,254
  8. ronms – $13,503
  9. Gibbus – $10,052

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee

Travis 'T_Fund' RiceThe UltimateBet $200,000-guaranteed tournament had a very low turnout last night with just 814 entrants. That amounted to the lowest attendance in the event in almost three months (the July 8 tournament had 813 entrants). Last weekend, the event had 869 entrants, and the tournament had been seeing consistent entry numbers near or above 900 for the past few months. Last night's event required UltimateBet to come out of pocket for $37,200 to match the guaranteed prize pool.

The final table of the tournament was relatively stacked (see the final results below), and it eventually came down to urbandb888 and Pkismycrack vying for the top prize. Urbandb888 eventually cracked his opponent and took home the $45,000 first-place prize and quite a bit of respect for having outlasted a tough final 10 players.

The final results were:

  1. urbandb888 – $45,000
  2. Pkismycrack – $27,000
  3. Deck Of Clubs – $18,500
  4. erod13 – $13,000
  5. darkcheck_ – $11,000
  6. Hixx – $9,000
  7. The Scarf – $7,000
  8. crazyzachary – $5,000
  9. OneWin – $3,500
  10. Travis "T_Fund" Rice – $2,000

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee

Jon 'apestyles' Van FleetAttendance at Bodog's $100,000-guaranteed tournament broke back into the 800s last night when 801 players bought in. The event required a $19,900 overlay, but this was good news considering the tournament had been seeing fields in the 700s for more than two months.

Once 799 players had hit the virtual rail, it was just Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet and Tommy2tyme left duking it out for the $25,000 first-place prize. Tommy2tyme eventually bested the Internet pro to take down the tournament and the biggest payday.

The final results were:

  1. Tommy2tyme – $25,000
  2. Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet – $14,000
  3. Patchizo – $9,000
  4. Jaguar63 – $6,500
  5. hanna80 – $5,400
  6. BADREZ – $4,400
  7. velocity2007 – $3,400
  8. Catfish4U – $2,400
  9. Humilis – $1,550
