PartyBets.com has announced its betting market for the forthcoming PartyPoker Late Night Poker, which is being filmed in Cardiff from Tuesday, Oct. 23. Among the favorites are Andy Black, Roland De Wolfe, Annette Obrestad, and Pascal Perrault, all at 20-1.
The tournament will be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK and Ireland in 2008 and distributed internationally.
A PartyBets.com spokesman said, "With so many great players in the lineup it is very hard to make the market and pretty much impossible to make a concrete favorite. Ian Frazer and Liam Flood are amongst the frontrunners because of their previous success in similar formats, while Pascal Perrault is fancied on the basis of form.
"Odds certainly spark debate. We just hope we don't catch a cold with poker betting like we did when a punter made $25,000 by backing Jon Kalmar with $100 to make the final table of the WSOP main event at odds of 250-1."
The 49-player tournament features seven heats followed by semifinals and a final. Players buy-in for $5,000, and PartyPoker is adding $90,000 to the prize pool, creating a total prize pool of $335,000. The winner collects $125,000.
The field also features 10 online qualifiers who won their seats in exclusive tournaments on PartyPoker.
