Watkinson Could Win Additional $10 Million Today

By Qualifying at Full Tilt, He Has a Chance for the Biggest Bonus in Poker

Lee Watkinson is playing for much more than the $8.25 million top prize of this year's World Series of Poker'main event. Because Watkinson qualified for the main event through Full Tilt, he will win an additional $10 million if he ends up with all the chips tomorrow.

By making the final table, he already won an additional $50,000. If he wins, he won't get the entire $10 million at once. The money will be paid over 10 years in $1 million increments.

There are also stipulations.

Watkinson would have to agree to a 10-year exclusive endorsement contract with Full Tilt Poker allowing them to use his name, voice, and likeness in all future online and offline promotions. Additionally, he would have to play a minimum of 10 hours per week at Full Tilt Poker and to also attend any promotional events or tournaments that Full Tilt Poker deems appropriate.

Watkinson would be ineligible to promote any other online or offline poker-related company during this time.

The terms and conditions also say the player must agree to wear only Full Tilt Poker gear at the main event whenever possible, including, but not limited to, when playing at non-televised tables, and during any and all televised interviews, and at all future tournaments and professional poker-related appearances throughout the duration of this agreement, and elsewhere as may be permitted by the event organizer.

This might cause a bit of trouble for Watkinson. He was spotted with advertisements from another entity early in the main event, but they disappeared not far into the tourney, but a representative of Full Tilt told Card Player he is eligible for the prize.
