The poker world’s attention may be on Las Vegas at the moment, but soon that focus will shift to Maryland, where one of the largest casinos on the East Coast, Maryland Live!, is gearing up to host two huge tournaments series from the PPC Poker Tour and the World Poker Tour.
It all starts in late August, with the PPC Poker Tour. The five event series kicks off Aug. 23 and wraps up with a $550 buy-in, $200,000 guaranteed main event starting Aug. 26. There will be a total of six starting flights, and players can win their way in with one of six $80 buy-in satellites.
In addition to the cash, the top eight players in the main event will earn a $5,000 prize package to the 2015 PPC Aruba World Championship in November. Click here for a full look at the schedule and tournament structures.
Then on Sep. 25, the World Poker Tour rolls into town with a $3,500 buy-in main event. This will be the first time the WPT comes to Maryland Live! and tournament organizers are expecting a huge turnout.
