In an effort to take crucial feedback from its poker-playing customers, the World Series of Poker announced on Thursday afternoon that it will be tweaking the blind structures for the remaining low buy-in limit events on the schedule for this summer.
Events no. 39 ($1,500 10-game mix), 48 ($1,500 seven-card stud), 52 ($1,500 dealers choice) and 65 $(1,500 seven-card stud hi-lo eight-or-better) will now have more play at the end, and consequently less in the beginning. The move by the WSOP was applauded on social media.
According to tournament director Jack Effel, the Nevada Gaming Control Board has signed off on the changes. “Our intentions are always to make [the WSOP better for all and attract new players,” he said. “We don’t always get it right first time, but we learn & improve.”
What you guys will see is the removal of one level at 100-200, 150-300, and 200-400 levels, added 250-500, extra 1200-2400 & extra 10k-20k.
