In April, poker pro Phil Ivey appeared in a Chrysler commercial alongside a number of other celebrities, but now the 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner has an advert with the American automobile manufacturer all for himself.
Chrysler released the Ivey-only commercial this month for its Chrysler 300.
The voice-over in the commercial stated while viewers looked at an image of Ivey: “There’s nothing wrong with being flashy, so long as you’ve done the work to back it up.”
Ivey will be chasing after his 11th bracelet starting this week in Las Vegas with the start of the 2015 WSOP. Ivey currently is in a three-way tie with Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan on the all-time bracelet list. He trails only Phil Hellmuth’s 13 WSOP wins.
Last year, Ivey and fellow poker pro Daniel Negreanu had hefty bracelet bets, which is something they had done the previous year as well, though it didn’t gain as much attention.
It’s safe to assume they have some side action on their WSOP performances in 2015 too.
Chan and Ivey were recently in Macau to promote the opening of a new poker room.
