Full Tilt Online Poker Series Event No. 4: $100,000-Guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha with Rebuys
Apparently Full Tilt isn't a good judge of pot-limit Omaha's popularity. At least, that's what the numbers from last night's tournament seem to indicate.
Event No. 4 in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series III (FTOPS III), the $100,000-guaranteed pot-limit Omaha with rebuys tournament, had 681 entrants. Those entrants pumped up the prize pool with 1,135 rebuys and 328 add-ons for an end result of $214,400, more than twice the posted guarantee.
One very prominent Internet poker pro and two red-named Full Tilt-sponsored pros made it deep in the tournament. Tmay420, an Internet tournament player who has been tearing up the tournament leader boards lately, finished the event in 16th ($1,179). Full Tilt pros Allen Cunningham and Stuart Paterson both made the final two tables as well, eventually busting out in 14th ($1,715) and 18th ($1,179), respectively.
When it came down to the final nine players, KudelyKQ held the chip lead with $918,000 in chips while Deu_Zebra was in second with $648,000. The two players managed to survive six eliminations with their stacks intact. In fact, when three-way play began, KudleyKQ was still in first, with $1.5 million and Deu_Zebra was in second with $1.2 million. They were joined by chmi32n, who had $644,000 in his stack.
After almost 10 minutes of three-way play, KudelyKQ's stack had dropped down to $876,000 after he lost some key hands. That amount of chips actually put him in third place, but he was virtually tied with chmi32n, who now had $884,000. The following hand determined the tournament life of one of those two players.
KudelyKQ called the $30,000 big blind from the small blind position and chmi32n checked his option in the big blind. The flop came A 4

for chmi32n to take down the pot, nearly double up, and eliminate KudelyKQ in third. KudelyKQ, the chip leader throughout most of the final table action, received $24,120 for his third-place finish.
It was now heads up and the stacks were very close. Chmi32n had a slim lead with $1.76 million versus Deu_Zebra with $1.62 million. For the first portion of the match, chmi32n siphoned chips off of Deu_Zebra's stack to further his lead. However, Deu_Zebra managed to chip up and take the lead. Before the final hand, 20 minutes into the heads-up match, Deu_Zebra sat with $2 million versus chmi32n, who had $1.33 million.
Deu_Zebra called the $50,000 big blind preflop and chmi32n checked his option. The flop came 6 5
