The Venetian in Las Vegas, whose motto is "the new face of poker," is living up to its claim, and the city's largest poker venue will soon host its first major poker tournament. The Deep Stack Extravaganza will offer 19 events, including
"The Deep Stack Extravaganza offers both the novice and professional player a chance to win big," stated Kathy Raymond, director of poker operations. "With the variety of the games being offered and the substantial amount of starting chips, this tournament is sure to attract poker players from all over."
Buy-ins for 16 various no-limit hold'em, Omaha, pot-limit Omaha, and mixed events are $330, with three $540 no-limit hold'em events.
All $540 tournaments will start at noon, with $330 tournaments beginning at 2 p.m. Players will be given $6,000 in tournament chips for $330 events, and $10,000 for $540 events. Staff bonuses are also available for an additional $10. Levels for all events will run 40 minutes and tournaments will conclude on the same day.

A tentative prize package for the all-around points winner includes tickets to a premier Venetian show, a spa package, and dinner at the Delmonico Steakhouse.
Satellites begin at 8 a.m. daily and supersatellites with an approximate buy-in of $60 are currently in the planning phase.
Registration begins in the poker room two hours prior to the start of the event. TDA rules will apply and management reserves the right to cancel or change tournaments.
