Prolific high-stakes online grinder Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has been on a nice upswing lately, winning roughly $347,000 over the past week online. It took him about 8,300 hands to do so, according to HighstakesDB.
The uptick comes after a significant downswing. He’s still down more than $360,000 over the past 30 days. So far in 2015, the Swede is down nearly $390,000.
The largest pot Blom paid over the past week was the second largest of the time frame in all of online poker. Blom came out on the right end of a pretty sick spot at $300-$600 pot-limit Omaha against unknown high-stakes regular Patriktortonius.
After each put in roughly $16,000 preflop, both players were sitting on hefty stacks when the flop fell 10

. Blom’s opponent checked to him, and Blom fired roughly $30,000. Patriktortonius check-raised all-in for roughly $33,000 more.
Blom wasn’t going anywhere after putting in half the all-in already. The pair elected to run it twice, which is pretty common at the high-stakes games.

The first run-out was the 4

, also giving that half to Blom. He was able to dodge a flush draw four times, as well as all the running two pair combos. Patriktortonius was a favorite to win one of them.
In addition to Blom, other big winners on the week include thecortster ($510,000), Alex Kostritsyn ($176,000), Ben Sulsky ($175,000) and Ilari Sahamies ($113,000). On the flip side, poker pros Isaac Haxton (-$313,000) and Dan Cates (-$110,000) were among the top losers.
