In just the first 29 days of its Global Online Poker Championship, CoinPoker awarded $59.81 million in total prize money.
The series smashed its initial $50 million guarantee ahead of the series’ final weekend.
Since the festival kicked off Aug. 23, the platform processed north of 1.6 million entries from 42,585 players across 168 countries. In other words, CoinPoker ran 4,923 tournaments and dealt over 14.4 million hands.
During the fourth week of the series, culminating on Sept. 20 the platform awarded $15.28 million. Out of 434 tournaments that week, 352 exceeded their guaranteed prize pools.
Satellite Qualifiers Thrive
The $5,200 Record Breaker High Roller attracted 119 entries, generating a $595,000 pool. Heads-up play resulted in a deal between ‘welcometoconair’ and ‘shortbtc1. welcometoconair the lion’s share of the chop, nettting $131,231, but ‘shortbtc1 claimed $128,249 and was credited with the victory. Despite the slightly smaller payout, shortbtc1 currently tops the series money list with $244,411 in total earnings.
Satellite qualifiers also posted high returns during the series’ penultimate week. ‘POCHAMA’ turned a$15 satellite ticket into a $66,350 win in the $150 CoinMasters BITCOIN event. In the $215 CoinMillion, ‘Pipsis’ finished third for $55,436 after qualifying through a $25 satellite without re-buying.

The most recent $215 CoinMillion event drew 5,181 entries, generating a prize pool slightly north of $1.03 million. ‘GBortoleto’ topped the massive field and won $121,753 in the process. During the tournament, CoinPoker recorded 30,000 concurrent players on the platform.

For the series leaderboards, ‘Yafish’ leads the Podium Race with 116 points and 19 medals. He has a decent lead over ‘ScroobiusPup,’ who sits in second place with 82 points. Four players have cashed on all 29 days of the series: ‘inghetata,’ ’tiltuntilidie,’ ‘blacz2000,’ and ‘Costineles.’
The festival concludes with the $3 million guaranteed $530 Main Event and the $1 million guaranteed $1,500 CoinMasters BTC High Roller. Both events reach Day 2 on Sept. 28. Players can enter Day 1 flights for the Main Event through Sept. 27, with a final turbo flight scheduled immediately before Day 2 begins.
