Anderson beat out a few hundred people on Card Player Poker to capture the $1,500 prize package, which included the buy-in to the WSOP event and plenty to worth with in travel accommodations.
Anderson said that he was “treated very nice” upon coming to Las Vegas and receiving his prize, and added that despite busting at the end of the first day of action, it was “overall a good experience.” He pointed out that whenever “you’re in it for a freeroll it’s a good deal.”
The 15-year veteran at the card tables in and around Los Angeles had played four times at the WSOP prior to winning an entry to event no. 56 at the 2014 WSOP. He reiterated that he isn’t a professional, and that’s why winning a free seat was such a great thing.
