77 Trophies Awarded, 'Hemingway' Takes Down Main Event For $250,000


Battle of Malta Online ran from July 12 to Aug. 3 with a $30 million guaranteed schedule featuring three main events, the CoinMillion, and 77 trophies.

The festival ultimately generated total prize pools of $35,120,885 across all events, exceeding its original guarantee by more than $5.1 million.

Across the 23-day series, 764 tournaments attracted 528,237 entries (excluding satellites).

The final Battle of Malta Online weekend also saw CoinPoker surpass 25,000 concurrent players for the first time, setting a new all-time high for the platform.

Battle of Malta Main Event Winners

Battle of Malta Online concluded with three main event champions crowned on the final day of the series, following multi-flight tournaments that ran throughout the festival.

The $565 Main Event was won by Hemingway, who topped a field of 4,778 entries to win $250,000 from the series’ largest prize pool of $2,546,674. The champion also received a unique physical Battle of Malta trophy and a matching digital version in the CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet.

In the $55 Main Challenger, MarianexBJ claimed the title and $50,000, while Syn won the $11 Main Crusader for $10,000. Both champions also received Battle of Malta trophies recognizing their victories.

CoinMillion Battle Of Malta Edition Winners

The Battle of Malta Online edition of The CoinMillion opened the series with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool on the opening weekend.

monc claimed the title and a first-place prize of $121,500, receiving both a physical Battle of Malta trophy and a permanent digital version. Fellow finalists n7v7rcapp7d, JohnnieTsunami, IdiOtsudaDavai, and LappyPoker7 also collected five-figure payouts.

The CoinMillion August Edition reached 4000 unique entries, with 1113 re-entries recorded. The total prize pool exceeded the guarantee, at $1.02 million dollars.

The next CoinMillion will run at the beginning of the Global Online Poker Championship, on Sunday, Sept. 6.

CoinPoker Battle Of Malta Trophies

High Roller Winners

Battle of Malta Online also crowned champions across several of the series’ highest buy-in tournaments, including the CoinMasters Bitcoin High Roller, The Iron Throne, and other featured High Roller events.

CoinPoker VIP Arena regular and high-stakes PLO specialist Giselle54 claimed the $5,200 High Roller for $68,244, with Lukabrate finishing runner-up for $45,612.

The $1,500 CoinMasters Bitcoin High Roller was won by pensefortement, who collected $235,000 and received both a Battle of Malta trophy and a gold-plated CoinMasters Bitcoin coin.

Meanwhile, MystereEtBouleDeGomme captured The Iron Throne title for $129,129, with additional High Roller victories recorded throughout the 23-day festival across buy-ins ranging from $1,050 to $5,200.

Global Online Poker Championship Set For Late August

Following the conclusion of Battle of Malta Online, CoinPoker will launch the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) on Aug. 23.

The championship introduces three regional tournament schedules aligned with primetime in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Core events will also be available across three buy-in tiers, giving players around the world more opportunities to compete at times and stakes that suit them.

The series will feature a total guaranteed schedule of $50,000,000, with buy-ins ranging from $2.20 to $25,500 across regional tournaments, medal events, main events, high rollers, and satellites.
