CoinPoker Kicks Off World Poker Masters On May 3

The Nearly Month-Long Tournament Series Has At Least $25 Million On The Line

The largest crypto-focused online poker platform in the world is hosting the largest tournament series in the site’s history.

CoinPoker kicks off the World Poker Masters on May 3. The tournament series features $25 million in guaranteed prize pools and runs until June 1.

Additionally, there are buy-ins for every bankroll size. There’s a $55 mini main event, a $530 main event, and even $25,000 high rollers.

Main Event Headlines Series With $2.5M Guaranteed

The nearly month-long series culminates with the $530 World Poker Masters main event. The multi-flight structure runs a starting flight every Sunday of the series with the Day 1E completing the Day 1’s on May 31.

Then, the surviving players advance to Day 2 on June 1 and will play to a winner.

The main event carries the largest guaranteed prize pool of the series, but there are several other events with a seven-figure guarantee. The $215 CoinMillion and the $1,500 CoinMasters BITCOIN High Roller both carry a $1 million guarantee.

Lastly, every high roller event, with buy-ins ranging from $1,500 to $25,000 will carry guarantees, but some will have at least seven figures in the prize pool.

The $55 mini main has a $500,000 guarantee with starting flights every day of the series. The survivors combine for Day 2, the final day, on May 31.

Leaderboards Put Extra Money Up For Grabs

For players that put in a large amount of volume, they can earn more than just their fair share of the prize pools with weekly leaderboards.

Each of the leaderboards is divided into two tiers. The high-stakes tier is for events with a buy-in of $109 or larger, while the low-stakes tier is for events between the $11-$88 buy-in levels.

The $75,000 Champions Leaderboard tracks the overall performance and pays up to $30,000 for the series’ most successful player.

Then, there are the $425,000 weekly leaderboards where players in their respective tier can win up to an additional $15,000 each week. Here are the four scoring periods.

  • May 3-9
  • May 10-16
  • May 17-23
  • May 24 – June 1

WPM Warm-Up And Satellites Start April 26

Instead of rushing right into the high-stakes events, CoinPoker is giving players a chance to get their feet wet with smaller buy-ins.

The World Poker Masters Warm-Up starts on April 26 and runs through May 2. The short series focuses on small-stakes events and satellite tournaments, giving players with a smaller bankroll a chance to get into the action at a smaller price point.

CoinPoker Debuts Trophy Cabinet

Last, but certainly not least, the World Poker Masters marks the debut of CoinPoker’s Trophy Cabinet.

In the live arena, winning a tournament is usually accompanied with a trophy of some sort. But online events lack the tangible recognition of the win.

Until now.

The new Trophy Cabinet feature creates a visible record of tournament wins and overall performance across the site’s major events.
