A Look At The Latest Champions Crowned At Wynn Las Vegas

The 2025 World Poker Tour World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas is hurtling towards its exciting conclusion, with only a couple of days of action remaining. The two largest events of the festival, the $5 million guaranteed $1,100 WPT Prime Championship and the WPT World Championship main event, still have yet to crown their winners. There was another pair of champions decided as the series neared its end, though. This article will take a closer look at the results from the $2,000,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in and the second of two $25,000 high rollers. The first $25k was won earlier this week by Darren Elias.

WPT World Championship $25,800 No-Limit Hold’em

Brandon Wilson has been one of the hottest players on the live tournament circuit in 2025, with 15 final tables and five titles. He earned his latest victory by besting 39 entries in a $25,000 high roller at the WPTWC for $341,250 and 336 POY points.

This win increased Wilson’s lifetime haul to more than $9.8 million, while growing his POY total for 2025 to 7,868. That’s enough to move him into seventh place in the overall standings presented by CoinPoker.

Wilson captured 14 of his 20 top scores this year, including his first two seven-figure scores, which both came in Triton high rollers.

The top six finishers made the money in this event, with $975,000 in prize money up for grabs. Among the half-dozen to cash were Landon Tice (6th), Igor Yaroshevskyy (5th), and bracelet winner Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau (4th).
