The final few days of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas festival saw some of the event’s biggest prizes awarded. Beyond the NAPT Las Vegas main event, Vitalijs Zavorotnijs took down a $10,300 high roller, Sam Soverel won a $12,300 bounty event, and PokerStars ambassador Maria Konnikova claimed a trophy in a $5,300 buy-in tournament.
There was plenty of action inside the ballroom at Resorts World Las Vegas through the final day, and as the last hands of the festival were dealt, there was plenty of money and intrigue to go around.
Zavorotnijs Wins Big, Narrowly Misses More

Vitalijs Zavorotnijs emerged from the 158-entry field in the $10,000 high roller event with one of the largest prizes on tap at NAPT Las Vegas. The victory, worth $358,400, was the second-biggest payout of his live tournament career. It sits behind only his 2019 WPT Barcelona victory for $678,000. The win also came with 720 Card Player Player of the Year points, a race presented by CoinPoker.
On his way to victory, Zavorotnijs navigated a predictably talented final table that included the runner-up, two-time WPT champion Bin Weng. There was also the matter of five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Kristen Foxen (6th), Triton champion and WSOP bracelet winner Isaac Haxton (7th), WPT champion Aram Oganyan (8th), and WSOP bracelet winner Patrick Leonard (9th).
Zavorotnijs’ triumph also came with 358 PokerGO Tour points. That would’ve been enough to carry Zavorotnijs to victory on the series-long NAPT Las Vegas Dream Seat leaderboard. But like the season-long version of that leaderboard, PGT has a threshold for total results, with at least two in-the-money finishes required. With this being Zavorotnijs’ only cash of the series, he did not qualify.
As a result, Nick Petrangelo earned himself an automatic berth to the PGT $1 Million championship event.

Soverel Claims 13th PGT Title
It wouldn’t feel like a PGT-branded event if Sam Soverel weren’t directly in the mix. Soverel beat out 39 entries in the $12,300 bounty event to capture the PokerStars spade trophy and his 13th career PGT title, taking home $116,840 for first place and an additional $84,000 in bounty prizes. The win also came with 240 Card Player POY points, elevating Soverel to 16th place on the yearlong leaderboard.
Soverel defeated Jordan Glazer heads up to secure his victory. For Glazer, whose win will be highlighted momentarily, this was the culmination of a tremendous week at Resorts World Las Vegas. Over the course of four results, Glazer finished sixth, second, first, and second.
The final table also featured Dan Smith, the WSOP and WPT champion, who posted his first live tournament results since the 2025 WSOP at this series. Chance Kornuth (4th) and Jeremy Ausmus (5th) each posted their best result of the festival, with Ausmus climbing to 11th in the Card Player POY standings. Maria Konnikova, who will also be spotlighted later in this story, finished sixth.

Konnikova Closes Strong
Coming off a deep run in the bounty event, Konnikova closed out her 2025 NAPT Las Vegas performance with a victory on the final day. She defeated 2025 WSOP main event runner-up John Wasnock heads-up in the $5,300 second chance high roller to finish the job.
For Konnikova, the author and PokerStars Ambassador, this is the third spade trophy win of her career, including a hyper turbo title earlier this year at EPT Monte Carlo. Konnikova also has a WSOP bracelet and WSOP Circuit ring to her credit, both won online in 2024.
Wasnock’s second-place finish in this event, worth $42,800, stands among his top five career live results. Jim Collopy, who finished fourth, made his second final table appearance of the festival here. He also navigated through a field of 947 entrants in the $1,100 NAPT Las Vegas PokerStars Open, taking third in that event.
| Place | Player | Payout |
| 1 | Maria Konnikova | $66,350 |
| 2 | John Wasnock | $42,800 |
| 3 | Ian Bradley | $28,350 |
| 4 | Jim Collopy | $20,500 |
| 5 | Ankit Ahuja | $16,600 |
Glazer Gets His Trophy
In the midst of two close calls and four total final tables, Glazer picked up the first notable live win of his career in a $10,200 bounty event. Though the field was smaller than in his other three runs, reaching 14 total entries, Glazer lifted the PokerStars spade trophy in triumph.
In total, Glazer posted three of his five best career results over the course of his magical week at NAPT Las Vegas. All five entries among Glazer’s best results have come in 2025.
Runner-up Anatoly Nikitin of Russia is also in the midst of a career-best year. He won a $10,000 event during the 2025 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown series, and also recorded final table appearances at the 2025 WSOP and in a 2025 Poker Masters event at the PGT Studio.
