The World Series of Poker Circuit is keeping busy early in 2012, with its third stop of the year already set to begin on January 19th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The series will play host to a total of 12 WSOP Circuit gold-ring events, with the festivities wrapping up on January 30th.
Headlining the whole series is the $1,600 WSOP Circuit Main Event that begins on January 27th. Last year the same event drew 496 players, building a $714,240 prize pool. Las Vegas local Christopher Johnson earned the lion’s share when he came out on top, earning his first WSOP Circuit gold-ring and $153,559 for the victory.
The buy-ins for the series range from $350 all the way up to $1,600, and in addition to the standard no-limit hold’em fare, the schedule also features some rather more distinctive tournaments like the $350 “ante-only” no-limit hold’em event that begins on January 23rd. The series will also host a $350 pot-limit Omaha event that begins on January 22nd.
