Jason Mercier took down the $100,000 buy-in high roller event at the Bellagio on Saturday. He grabbed $683,767 plus a $25,000 World Poker Tour championship seat, according to his Twitter account.
Mercier, David Sands and Isaac Haxton did an ICM chop three-handed that left Sands with $619,000, Mercier with $604,000 and Haxton with $582,000. About $150,000 was left to play for.
Haxton finished third and Sands second. Justin Smith finished in fourth for about $300,000. Roger Sippl min-cashed.
Mercier’s win in the 23-player field brings his lifetime tournament earnings to about $8 million.
