Europe’s Largest Poker Tournament Record Attempt Starts

Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Attempts 1,600 Plus Runners Over Three Days With Goliath


The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour today attempts to set a new record by hosting Europe’s largest ever poker tournament at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, England.

The three-day 1 event hopes to attract over 1,600 entrants, many of who are expected o buy in more than once in this unique format – players can re-enter the Goliath main event up to a maximum of twice (the start days run Wednesday 24th – Friday 26th August) although re-entry on the same day is not permitted.

The current record is held by the Boyplepoker.com International Poker Open with 1,440 runners in 2009.

Goliath has a buy in of £100 + £20 and a starting stack of 25,000 chips and 40 minute blinds.

Marie Curie Cancer Care will benefit to the tune of €5 from each registration fee.
