Dan 'Jungleman12' Cates Steps Away from No-Limit Hold'em

Gus HansenEven though the action has been quiet in the high-stakes online world for a second straight week, poker pro Gus Hansen has managed to win more than $1 million over the past seven days.

No pot on the virtual felt has reached six figures over the past week, yet Hansen has been able to amass one of his best upswings. The Danish superstar has been dominating $500-$1,000 cap pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker recently.

Hansen’s two primary victims have been Luukie21 and Di “Urindanger” Dang. Hansen took Dang for about $400,000 on Monday in a lengthy session.

The recent bracelet winner was at one point down more than $2 million on the year, but has turned things around nicely so far in October.

Dan “Jungleman12” Cates stepped away from his no-limit hold’em comfort zone on Monday. Cates and Jared “harrington25” Bleznick did battle at $100-$200 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. The two nosebleed regulars played about 400 hands together in a brief session, with Cates coming out on top about $130,000.
