As with other WPN poker rooms (see our ACR Poker review, for example), there are two ways to earn rewards: Elite Benefits and flat rakeback.
We’ll discuss Ya Poker rakeback in more detail directly below, along with which option makes sense depending on your play style.
Ya Poker Elite Benefits has six VIP levels. Everyone starts on Bronze and earns ‘Combat Points’ (CP) for every Rank Point earned ($1 paid in Ya Poker rake = 5.5 points).
Confusingly, Ya Power uses multiple ‘points’ terms on-site. So, just remember that only Combat Points are relevant for Ya Poker Elite Benefits.
Reach the next VIP level by hitting point milestones. For example, Bronze members earn 1 CP, while Black Diamond level earn 5 CP.
Achieving a new rank status unlocks cash prizes, accelerated earning rates, tournament tickets, and the ability to convert points to real cash.
After speaking to some grinders and poker experts for this Ya Poker review, they agreed that if you pay $1,500+ a month in Ya Poker rake, the benefits of the Elite Benefits Program outweigh pure Ya Poker rakeback.
Rakeback
This poker room doesn’t do itself any favors with its approach of hiding the 27% Ya Poker rakeback deal on-site. It’s a fantastic offer but is buried in the small print.
Casual poker fans paying less than $1,500 monthly in rake should consider this option over Elite Benefits. Log in, open the Rewards tab, select Rakeback and hit the Redeem button. You don’t need a Ya Poker promo code.
Alternatively, contact support, and they’ll enroll you in the Ya Poker rakeback program. The major benefit is its simplicity. Earn 27% rakeback on all cash games and tourney fees – no need to unlock levels or earn points.
Ya Poker rakeback at 27% is one of the best rakeback deals online – although it’s not paid out in real-time, like the rakeback system in our CoinPoker review.
Games Types
Ya Poker offers more poker games than most competitors, as measured by the number of busy cash games and tournaments, and the variants offered. No Limit Hold’em is king, but there are plenty of Omaha tables, too. There are even limited Stud games. For NL and PL games, rake is a flat 5% with a max cap $3 per pot.
Cash Games
Benefiting from the WPN link, Ya Poker hosts a wide range of popular poker cash games. Microstakes from $0.01/$0.02 and mid-stakes cash games are always busy.
Bigger stakes have fair traffic but, if you’re hunting for nosebleed cash games, Ya Poker probably won’t have enough to keep you happy.
Texas Hold’em
Forget the fixed-limit and pot-limit Hold’em cash games; no limit is where 95%+ of the action is. There’s abundant $0.01/$0.02 traffic at any hour.
At higher stakes, $0.05/$0.10, $0.10/$0.25, $0.25/$0.50, $0.50/$1, and $1/$2 tables are popular. Blinds go up to $300/$600.
9-max and heads-up are the preferred formats, but there are more aggressive games on the 6-max tables. Hold’em events make up around 80% of the Ya Poker tournament schedule.
Omaha
Ya Poker has some of the best Omaha cash games online, with a majority of soft players and a few sharks. Choose your battles wisely – our Omaha odds calculator is a valuable tool.
Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) has the busiest tables, with a lot of microstakes action ($0.01/$0.02) and significant traffic up to $1/$2. Stakes max out at $300/$600, but these games are much quieter.
PLO Hi/Lo has limited interest, even on weekends. PL05 (five hole cards instead of four) is a wise choice if you’re looking for action and fish, as the inexperienced struggle with strategy. PL05 Hi/Lo isn’t popular.
Other Formats
- Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo: It’s rare to find real-money Stud poker online, so Ya Poker should be applauded for continuing to host these niche games. There’s not much traffic, though, and it attracts the same regs most days. But the odd game was running at the time of our Ya Poker review.
- Blitz Poker: Ya Poker’s online poker fast-fold format (NL Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha). Every time you fold, you’ll instantly be moved to a new table with fresh cards. Useful for grinders and to practice your game. Ya Poker rakeback is vital for Blitz because of the number of hands you’re playing.
- Jackpot Poker: Lottery-style three-player hyper-turbo Sit & Go format (Hold’em and Omaha), where the prize pool is randomly determined at the start. Top prize can hit $1,000,000 for a $50 buy-in.
Series & Tournaments
Ya Poker’s biggest tournament is the Venom, often boasting $10,000,000+ GTD and breaking the record in 2024 for over $12,600,000. It’s one of the largest online poker tournaments for US competitors. There’s a $2,000,000 GTD Omaha version as well.
The Venom series usually runs a few times a year. Direct buy-ins are expensive ($2,650 for the Main Event), but you can qualify through hundreds of satellites for far less, and even via freerolls.
Other major online series at Ya Poker include:
- Online Super Series (OSS): Wide range of buy-ins and formats, often with $20,000,000+ GTD.
- Mini Online Super Series (MOSS): Nearly $5,000,000 GTD in a lower-stakes OSS.
- Online Super Series XL (OSS XL): Dozens of high-roller events with combined guarantees of $50,000,000+ per series.
There’s a sweet mix of NL Hold’em and PL Omaha across formats like Progressive Knockouts, Deep Stacks, and Turbos.
Sadly, there are no specialty events currently running at Ya Poker. It would be great to see the occasional H.O.R.S.E or Razz Ya Poker tournaments, although this isn’t easy when demand is so low.
Weekly Tournament Schedule
Ya Poker has more than $9.2 million in weekly guarantees, culminating in a rich Sunday schedule.
- Daily Guarantees: Guarantees range from a few thousand to tens of thousands of dollars. More micro and mid-stakes focused.
- Sunday Schedule: Features the network’s biggest weekly prizes, like the $300,000 Sunday Moneymaker ($109 buy-in), the $200,000 GTD PKO Sunday Funday ($215), and the $500,000 Sunday High Roller ($630).
- Satellites: All major events have low-priced satellites. Satellites from $1.05 give everyone a chance to dream big.
- Freerolls: There are eight $50 freerolls per day at Ya Poker. Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays are Hold’em, while Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays have Omaha freerolls. Each tourney has a cap of 2,000 players, which is sensible. And you don’t need a Ya Poker bonus code to enter.

Satellites to Live Events
Ya Poker frequently runs satellites to top live poker events, including packages to the famous World Series of Poker (WSOP). Win your way to Las Vegas, starting in freerolls.
When playing for this Ya Poker review, there was also the chance to win packages to the $1,000,000 GTD Main Event at Punta del Este, Uruguay, and the Caribbean Poker Series $300,000 GTD Main Event in Aruba.
Survivor Flips
Survivor Flips offer a rapid way to win tournament entries, including The Venom, at Ya Poker. When eight participants join, they receive three hole cards and discard one.
The hand then plays automatically, eliminating the weakest hand. This process repeats until there’s one winner. No grinding or large buy-ins.
Fantasy Poker League
Think Fantasy Football, but for some of poker’s largest live events. Choose your favored names and cheer them on as they rack up leaderboard points for running deep or winning tournaments.
Play with Chris Moneymaker
Famous for winning the 2003 WSOP Main Event via an online satellite and credited with kick-starting the online poker boom, Chris Moneymaker is a Ya Poker brand ambassador.
Moneymaker and other WPN ambassadors host exclusive freerolls or special events on the WPN, offering you the chance to play with them and win special bounties for eliminating famous faces.
The Beast
The Beast is a points-based leaderboard that runs every week at Ya Poker and awards prizes to 1,600 players. To enter, you just have to join any cash game table to rack up points. The prize money is taken from the rake. So, if a pot draws $1 in rake, $0.08 of that rake is put into The Beast’s prize pool. You’ll get one leaderboard point for every $0.02 you pay towards that prize pool.
Each weekly leaderboard runs from Saturday at 00:00 ET to Friday at 23:59 ET, with winners being paid on the Monday. At the time of our Ya Poker review, there are four tiers of payments:
- Tier 1: $500
- Tier 2: $250
- Tier 3: $125
- Tier 4: $50
The more cash game hands played that week, the bigger the leaderboard prizes grow.
Blitz Beast
There’s also a Blitz Beast leaderboard, which works in a similar way to the standard The Beast leaderboard. But it has double the races and double the prizes, dishing out roughly $30,000 in prizes each week.
To climb the Blitz Beast leaderboard, you’ll need to play Blitz Poker. This is the fast-fold variant at Ya Poker, where you hit fold and instantly get taken to a new table with fresh cards. Keep in mind that players use very different strategies for fast-fold poker, and often have a more restrictive range of opening hands. If you want to come on top, you’ll need to tighten your range and play at lightning speed.
How to Win at Ya Poker
You’ll need a mixture of poker strategies at Ya Poker, as it has some very experienced players at higher stakes, but plenty of recs in both freerolls and at lower stakes. Here are five straightforward tips to help you win at Ya Poker:
- Use strict bankroll management: Believing that playing at a poker site with soft games allows for a more relaxed approach to your bankroll is a bad idea. No matter where you play, solid bankroll management is critical. Don’t jump up to higher stakes prematurely because you think you can win more.
- Exploit passive rivals: Ya Poker low-stake cash tables have a lot of limpers and callers with weak hands. When in position, isolate and pressure with significant raises. Continue to value bet post-flop with your strong hands. Calling stations will live up to their name with marginal hands.
- Know when to give up bluffing: A fun irony of poker is that it’s often easier to bluff a pro than a fish. No matter how dangerous a board may look, inexperienced opponents frequently stick to their weak made hands. Have nothing, and your pure bluffs keep getting called? Probably best to lay it down.
- Pay attention in big tournaments: At the higher stakes, Ya Poker has some top-class players. For example, in the Venom Main Event. For all events with a buy-in of over $50, make sure you play a tight, considered pre-flop range and keep detailed notes on all opponents.
- Switch lanes for Blitz Poker: Ya Poker’s fast-fold poker variant takes you to a new table with a fresh hand as soon as you fold. It requires a different poker strategy to standard Hold’em, as your opponents’ calling range is usually much tighter.
Lobby & Software
You need to download Ya Poker, as there’s no instant-play poker option. Setting up and installing it is straightforward on both Windows and Mac.
The Ya Poker lobby isn’t going to blow you away with a futuristic look and next-gen animations. Think functional rather than flashy.
It’s user-friendly, but occasionally there are reports of slow loads. It worked fine for us during our Ya Poker review, though, and management has been open about improving the software and blocking bots, which have been reported in the past.
The lobby itself features more than 10 tabs, sorting games into categories such as Cash Games, High Stakes, Blitz Poker, Tournaments, Staking and more. This makes everything really easy to find.
There’s in-game info available before you open a cash game table, too. You can view the number of hands per hour, average pot size, and percentage of players seeing a flop (helpful in seeing how loose or tight games are). Filter out games you’re not interested in and save favorites.
In addition to standard customization options (like tables, card themes, and colors), there are many cool features not widely available elsewhere that are worth a second look.
Ya Poker Features
From staking players in big tournaments to cutting a deal of your own at the final table, Ya Poker packs in some exciting features that give you plenty of flexibility. Here are some of the best features at Ya Poker:
- Staking: Buy a portion of another player’s buy-in at Ya Poker tournaments or sell a percentage of yours.
- In-game HUD: Ya Poker permits HUDs, but you can also track rivals with the site’s built-in version.
- Player notes/color tags: Add notes to individuals and assign color-coded tags to easily identify user types such as fish, regular, tight, loose, etc.
- Deal-making: If you make the final table of a Ya Poker tournament, you can make a deal to split the prize with other players..
- Railbird tickets: Watch up to three tournaments simultaneously for five hours to get reads and make notes on others.
- Run it twice: Reduce variance in cash games by replaying the river or the entire board twice when all-in.
- Hotkeys: Assign keyboard shortcuts for common actions to save time. E.g. F1 to fold, F2 to check/call, and CTRL+B to bet/raise.
- Auto buy-in and top-up: Automatically keep your balance to a pre-determined number of blinds.
Mobile App
Although you won’t find them on the official app stores, you can get the iOS and Android mobile apps from the Ya Poker ‘Download’ tab. That’s not unusual, but it does mean you may need to navigate security warnings on your devices before installing.
For this Ya Poker review, we used the Android app, but the iOS app works identically.You can play four tables simultaneously, compared to 20 on desktop. But the vast majority of you won’t want to play more than four screens on a tiny mobile screen anyway.
Ya Poker doesn’t yet offer an instant-play version for either desktop or mobile play.
Safety and Customer Support
Ya Poker is licensed and regulated by the Curaçao Gaming Authority. For offshore poker sites, a Curaçao license is about as good as it gets. It’s not as robust as a European gaming one. But it’s a sign of reassurance if you’re wondering ‘Is Ya Poker legit?’.
As part of the WPN, it has another layer of trust. Customer funds are kept in separate accounts, and software is independently certified by iTech Labs for randomness. Set up two-factor authentication for another layer of account security.
The Ya Poker site, client, and support are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The platform revamped its support section, and not for the better. Helpful information is oddly found via ‘Software’ under the ‘About Us’ tab.
Use the ‘Support’ section to send an email or connect to live chat. Annoyingly, an AI bot starts every conversation and is bad at getting answers. But, eventually, you can connect with a real person.

Payment Methods
If possible, stick to crypto at Ya Poker. Bitcoin poker sites make payments quicker, and you won’t lose a chunk of your winnings in withdrawal fees.
If you’re not confident or just don’t want to use crypto, you can also try fiat methods. Deposit methods include bank cards, e-wallets, and Luxon Pay.
One criticism that came up during our Ya Poker review is how generic the banking information is on-site, when in reality payment methods are often subject to change. The cashier in the actual Ya Poker lobby displays all available options, so take that as the source of truth.
Some methods may be unavailable, depending on your location. For example, US residents can’t use Luxon Pay, and Ya Poker withdrawal by check is only for the US and Canada.

Yes, Ya Poker is legit. It’s part of the Winning Poker Network (WPN), has thousands of daily players, is home to many pros, and pays out guarantees of $10 million and above.
Ya Poker was established in 2001, making it one of the oldest online poker sites that’s still running successfully. It’s fully licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority and uses an RNG from SH Studio to make sure every hand is shuffled randomly. This has been independently verified by iTech Labs, with a Random Number Generator Certificate available on the official website.
We tested withdrawal times as part of our Ya Poker review and received winnings in less than 90 minutes.
Is it Legal to Play at Ya Poker in the US?
Yes, Ya Poker can easily be accessed from the US. We had to laugh reading another Ya Poker review that stated the US was hard-blocked.
Ya Poker is one of the most friendly and accessible US poker sites. Only seven of the 50 US states have blocks (see below). Players in any of the other 43 can play legally at Ya Poker.

Personal Review
Ya Poker’s Latin American focus might seem odd given WPN’s US traffic, but ignore that. Its cash games, tournaments, and promotions are top-tier, and I was super impressed writing this Ya Poker review by the opportunities to win live poker packages.
Soft games exist, but higher stakes and the richest tournaments demand skilled play. I strongly recommend using crypto for payments; fiat withdrawals often have unclear fees and are criticized for lengthy waiting times.
Overall, Ya Poker online poker is another solid WPN skin, appealing to new, casual, and experienced players alike.
