UP Poker Bonuses

Poker skills are essential to win at the tables, but there are other things you can do as well – like using UP poker bonus codes and getting maximum value from every deposit. In order to do that, you need to know how each online poker bonus works.

Welcome Bonus

UP Poker welcomes new players with a 200% deposit bonus, making it one of the best poker bonuses around. You don’t need an UP Poker promo code to activate this offer; just deposit $10 or more.

What’s nice about this bonus is that you get credit for any deposits you make within 90 days. As per the terms, you receive a 200% bonus up to a cumulative amount of $1,200.

That means you can make as many deposits as you like to claim the maximum amount of bonus cash.

Bonus Name 200% Welcome Bonus
Bonus Amount Up to $1,200
Min. Deposit $10
Max Withdrawal N/A
UP Poker Bonus Code N/A

The UP Poker welcome bonus is released incrementally. You get one point for every cent you pay in rake. Once you earn 500 points, a dollar of your bonus is released.

Doing the math on that, you’re effectively getting 20% rakeback as a new player when you claim the welcome bonus.

Rakeback and Loyalty Program

One of the most lucrative UP poker bonuses we spotted during our review was the rakeback, which is up to 40%. It might not be immediately obvious, because UP Poker rakeback is called cashback, but they’re the same thing.

Also, unlike some rakeback programs, the amount you receive varies based on your VIP status. Everyone earns points the same way: one point for every cent paid in rake.

The differences come as you move through the five VIP ranks (Bronze to Master). There are levels within each rank, and they all entitle you to a certain amount of rakeback.

At the lowest level, you’ll get 10% rakeback. Reach the top, and you’ll earn an industry-leading 40% rakeback each week.

Here are the UP Poker VIP tiers, along with how much you can claim in cashback at each level. Note that Level 1 is the highest for each tier, followed by Level 2, Level 3, and so on.

Other Promos

Here are some other UP Poker bonuses to look out for:

  • Beginner Missions – Alongside the UP Poker welcome bonus, new customers can take part in Beginner Missions. Complete easy tasks, like watching a cash game for five minutes, to earn up to $288 in bonus prizes.
  • Activity Rewards – Complete Daily and Weekly Missions to earn MTT tickets and entry to special freerolls with up to $200 in prizes.
  • Leaderboards – Rank among the top cash game players in any of three leaderboards (Hold’em Leaderboard, Bomb Rush Leaderboard, OFC Leaderboard)to win a share of prizepools containing UPC and cash.

You don’t need an UP Poker bonus code for any of these promotions. It’s also worth mentioning that you can get 0.5 UPC for free every six hours. UPC is UP Poker’s native crypto token.

There’s a lifetime limit of 10 UPC, but it’s still a generous offer considering that UPC can be used to earn staking rewards (aka interest on the tokens you stake).

UP Poker Top Games

It’s at this point in our UP Poker review that we reveal its secret weapon: games. Specifically, non-standard poker games, including OFC.

These games stand on solid foundations formed from Hold’em and Omaha. But, if you fancy something a bit different, this app has you covered.

Poker Game Type Availability
Texas Hold’em
Omaha Hi
Omaha Hi/Lo
5-Card Omaha
Razz
Seven-Card Stud
Seven-Card Stud 8 or Better
2-7 Single Draw
2-7 Triple Draw
H.O.R.S.E.
8-Game
Six-Plus
Open Face Chinese (OFC)
Squid Game

Here’s a closer look at the cash games you can play at UP Poker:

Texas Hold’em

  • Stakes: $0.01/$0.02 – $500/$1,000
  • Rake: 5% (4% for VIP high-stakes games)

What’s most impressive about UP Poker’s Hold’em games is that they’re available in two formats. There are standard games starting at 50 NL, and there are Bomb Rush games.

Bomb Rush tables combine bomb pots (money added randomly pre-flop) with fast-fold poker. This means you get moved to a new table each time you fold and have the chance to win bigger-than-average pots.

The standard games are soft, particularly below 200 NL. Above that, there isn’t much action, unless you can bag a spot at one of the VIP tables. As you’d expect, these have some decent players.

Bomb Rush games are by far the softest because players overestimate the number of hands they need to play. We’ve also seen players make huge mistakes in bomb pots.

Expert tip: Only continue in bomb pots with strong draws or made hands. The fact that everyone is forced to play means that people only continue when they’ve got a good hand.

Omaha

  • Stakes: $0.01/$0.02 – $500/$1,000
  • Rake: 5% (4% for VIP high-stakes games)

Our only issue with UP Poker’s Omaha (PLO) cash games is that they’re 7-max. In our view, 6-max is the optimal format for Omaha because you can play tight-aggressive poker without waiting too long for spots you can exploit.

There aren’t any Bomb Rush tables, but there’s enough low-stakes action for those of you transitioning from Hold’em. You might struggle if Omaha is your main game because we didn’t see much action above $1/$2 during our UP Poker review.

Expert tip: Stick to the basics, and you’ll be just fine. Most players we encountered play Omaha as if it were Hold’em, so you don’t need to be creative. Just play strong hands and draws aggressively.

Other Games

The secret weapons we mentioned a moment ago are these non-standard poker variants:

  • 6+ Hold’em. Also known as Short Deck, this Hold’em variant has all cards lower than a six removed from play. This mixes up the hand rankings, which generates more action. UP Poker’s line-up of 6-max games with blinds ranging from $0.02 to $1,000 completes this. They also have 5-Max games with 4% rake, but they’re currently for VIPs only.
  • Squid Game. This Hold’em spinoff adds a Squid Bonus to the game. Each hand plays out as normal. The only difference is that the winner receives a Squid. Once all the Squids have been won, the player without any pays a bonus to everyone else. It’s a novel take on Hold’em that’s ideal for anyone wanting a bit of fun.
  • Open Face Chinese (OFC). This card-setting variant can be played heads-up or at 3-max tables. Buy-ins range from $2 to $20,000, and you only pay 3%-4% rake on the profit you make. To make a profit, you need to win hands to earn points. Those with the most points at the end of a round scoop the pot.

Series & Tournaments

Here are the basics before we give you our take on how UP’s tournaments compare to those at other top-rated online poker sites:

  • Freerolls: Every 30 minutes throughout the day. Prizepools range from 1,000 UPC to $10 cash.
  • Daily MTTs: Buy-ins range from $0.50 to $215. Most MTTs have prizepools of up to $1,000. The two weekly high rollers have guarantees of $1,000 and $2,000.
  • Weekly Major: The $54 Weekender is UP Poker’s flagship tournament. The buy-in is lower than the industry average ($215), but so too is the guarantee at $5,000.

UP Poker’s weekly tournament schedule isn’t aimed at regs or pros. That’s not ideal if you fall into one of those categories, but all is not lost.

Another way of looking at it is that the fields will be soft. So, even though the guarantees don’t match what’s on offer at ACR, GG, and CoinPoker, you’ve got a better chance of winning.

Of course, if you’re a recreational player or newbie, the schedule has plenty to offer both in terms of prize money and lesser-skilled opponents.

Unique Events at UP Poker

The standout event we found during our UP Poker review was the Road to TMT. Not only was the million-dollar guarantee surprising given the relatively low prizepools we just mentioned, but the format also intrigued us.

For $300, players could ante up in any of the four online starting flights. From there, the remaining 8% at the end of Day 1 got to play at Red Space, Taipei.

Everyone who made it to the live portion of the tournament was guaranteed at least $600, which is a generous return for those who qualified via one of UP Poker’s $0.25 satellites.

Recent Updates at UP Poker

UP Poker launched in 2025, so virtually everything it offers is relatively new. We found a ton of new tournaments during our UP Poker review, including $15 step satellites to the $1,430 Gods of Poker (GOP) Taipei Main Event.

We also spotted a cool Anniversary Celebration, packed with a bunch of promos including cash drops of up to $100 at Hold’em tables, free tickets when playing OFC, gift packs, new-player rewards, a $2,000 MTT Leaderboard, and even the chance to pick up some free tournament tickets by sharing your social media posts on Discord.

GOP Incheon 2026 consists of 83 events, including a Main Event with KWR700M GTD – which equates to about $460,000. What’s interesting is that the series includes a bunch of cool variants outside of the usual Hold’em stuff, including PLO5 and even Open Face Chinese Poker.

Other UP Poker updates of note are the introduction of 50% discounts on tournament rake for people who register early and a new referral system.
Also, UP Poker now offers bubble protection, which returns your buy-in if you get eliminated on the bubble of an MTT.

Strategy for Playing at UP Poker

Here are the four things we did to exploit fish and maximize our ROI at the time of our UP Poker review:

  • Claim as many UP Poker bonuses as possible. You don’t need to waste time entering UP Poker promo codes, so focus on playing the right games to earn extra credits.
  • Stick to the basics. Even if you’re a creative and highly-skilled poker player, we’ve found that tight-aggressive is the best strategy against the calling stations at UP Poker.
  • Don’t play above your roll. Despite being one of the softest online poker sites we’ve tried, you should still stick exclusively to stakes you can afford.
  • Get in early. UP Poker offers a variety of incentives for starting cash games and registering early for tournaments, including reduced rake. So, getting in early can really boost your ROI.

UP Poker App

We mainly used the desktop app during our UP Poker review, but the mobile equivalent has just as many features. Being critical, the mobile app (available for iOS and Android) isn’t as stable as its desktop counterpart.

But it’s not like games are freezing and crashing every five minutes. It’s more the case that it’s a little less responsive. Expect these bugs to be fixed as updates are released over time.

As for the app itself, there’s a lot to like. You can access all the latest UP Poker bonuses via your desktop or mobile. You can play up to six tables at once, and there’s an in-built HUD.

Now, we know what you’re thinking: inbuilt HUDs aren’t as good as third-party products like PokerTracker. True, but UP Poker’s is better than most. Instead of the usual three or four basic stats, this HUD gives you 12:

VPIP Percentage of hands played
PFR Pre-flop raise
ATS Attempt to steal the blinds
3BET Pre-flop three-bet
CB Continuation bet
Donk Post-flop donk bet into the original raiser
Raise Flop raising
4BET Pre-flop four-bet
AF Aggression factor
WTSD Number of times they went to a showdown
W$SD Percentage of hands won at showdown
WWSF Percentage of hands won after seeing a flop

Along with a stat-rich HUD, you can run boards multiple times and take insurance in cash games. You can also set preset bet amounts, use hotkeys, and get a 50% reduction in rake costs when you’re playing two-handed (excluding heads-up tables).

Some of you might not like the playful design (it’s similar to GGPoker), and there’s room for improvement when it comes to navigation. But, if you want a safe poker app that’s packed with features, UP Poker has you covered.

Safety and Customer Support at UP Poker

Being based on a foundation of blockchain technology means UP Poker and its payments are inherently safe. Its games are certified as fair by iTech Labs, and the app itself uses SSL encryption to protect your data.

If you need help or advice, there are three methods:

  • FAQ
  • Email: support@uppoker.com

Our tests while writing this UP Poker review found that Discord was the most efficient method. For detailed enquiries, email the customer support team. The average response time is 24 hours.

Payment Methods

UP Poker is a crypto-only poker site, so you need to be comfortable sending money between wallets. Once you can do that and have a crypto wallet, the payment process is easy.

Is UP Poker Legit?

UP Poker is legit. It’s as simple as that. On top of being licensed in Costa Rica and complying with international gambling regulations, UP Poker uses blockchain technology to create a secure and private ecosystem.

Like other top no-KYC poker rooms, UP doesn’t ask for your personal details. Instead, it relies on blockchain technology to verify that transactions are legit. Playing anonymously means your privacy isn’t at risk. It also means you can ante up safely from any location.

Finally, thanks to a certificate from iTech Labs, we know UP Poker’s RNG is fair.

Is it Legal to Play at UP Poker in the US?

UP Poker is a global poker site that’s legal and available in many countries, including the US.

Because cryptocurrencies are decentralized, they’re not tied to specific countries or authorities. This allows you to make deposits and withdrawals from the US and anywhere else in the world.

UP Poker Personal Review

The vibe at CardPlayer HQ is that UP Poker has plenty of potential. Personally, I echo that sentiment. I love the privacy aspect of the app, and crypto payments have become my thing over the last two years.

There isn’t enough mid-stakes PLO action for me right now, but that will likely change over time. And when it does, I’ll be using UP Poker a lot more. Its features are better than those at other online poker sites, including some that have been around for over a decade – especially that HUD we spoke about earlier in this UP Poker review.

The UP Poker rake program is generous, and the leaderboard challenges are fun. Once other players notice the innovations happening at UP Poker, traffic will increase. When that happens, it’s got the potential to become one of the best cryptocurrency poker sites in the business.
