Why Play at ACR Poker?

ACR Poker has become the home of big-money MTTs thanks to the $20 million+ Venom series, with 24/7 cash games from $0.01/$0.02-$300/$600, niche games like Hi/Lo and Seven-Card Stud, and your choice of either loyalty rewards or rakeback. We got hands-on for a deep dive on ACR’s games, traffic, bonuses, in-game features, and more.

Ahead of our full ACR review, here are three things to keep in mind:

  • ACR hosts the biggest poker tournaments online, including the record-breaking Venom.
  • The app has unique features, like staking for tournament players.

ACR Poker Bonuses

During testing for this ACR Poker review, we found one of the biggest poker welcome bonuses we’ve ever seen, as well as some really lucrative leaderboards.

Welcome Bonus

The ACR Poker bonus for new customers is a huge 100% bonus worth up to $2,000.

  • Bonus name: ACR Welcome Bonus
  • Bonus amount: Up to $2,000
  • Min. deposit: $25
  • Max withdrawal: N/A
  • ACR Poker bonus code: CP1000

ACR Poker Homepage

You’ll need to enter the ACR Poker bonus code CP1000 when you register to activate the welcome offer. After that, you’ll need to deposit at least $25 to claim the 100% match bonus. Then, for every 27.5 Award Points you earn, you’ll receive $1 of your bonus as real, withdrawable cash.

The $25 minimum deposit is a smidge above most sites, but generally won’t cause much of an issue, as most players will be depositing at least that much when signing up to a new online poker site.

The release rate for ACR Poker’s welcome bonus is 5:1. You’ll need to pay $5 worth of rake to release $1 of your bonus. This is based on the fact that you earn 5.5 points for every $1 of rake paid (5.5 points x $5 = 27.5 points = $1 released).

That’s an effective rakeback rate of 20%, which represents solid value for a welcome bonus. High-volume players might be better off canceling the bonus to claim a different rakeback reward (more on this later on in our ACR poker review).

For the majority of players, the ACR Poker welcome bonus is worth claiming.

ACR Poker Leaderboards

ACR’s main leaderboard promotion, known as ‘The Beast’, is a cash game leaderboard awarding prizes every week. The top-ranked players win a share of the prize pool at the end of every week, based on the number of entrants. We’ve seen as many as 800 players win in a single leaderboard, although the average number of winners is 237. Either way, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs.

What’s even more impressive about The Beast is that cash prizes are supplemented by free satellite and tournament tickets.

There’s also a secondary leaderboard, Beast Blitz, which is exclusively for the fast-fold variant known as Blitz poker. You can win your share of a huge $30,000 every week. Plus, you can enter both leaderboards at the same time, if you like.

If cash games and MTTs aren’t your thing, there’s a leaderboard for SNGs. Known as Sit & Crush, this weekly leaderboard also awards cash prizes and free tournament tickets to upwards of 250 entrants.

Other Promotions

There are also other ways to get extra value when you ante up at ACR Poker, including:

  • Elite Benefits
  • Rakeback
  • Reload Bonuses
  • Referral Bonuses

How to Download ACR Poker

  • Choose your device: Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android.
  • Install the ACR Poker app, log in, and deposit $25+ to unlock your welcome bonus.
  • If you download the app on your mobile, don’t forget to adjust your settings to make sure your phone knows it’s a trusted app.

ACR Poker Games

Whether you love micro stakes or playing for millions, the ACR Poker MTT schedule is packed with fantastic tournaments, and the cash games are overflowing with players at all stakes.

ACR Poker Tournaments

The ACR Poker online poker tournament schedule is beyond impressive, with over $9.2 million GTD every week. It’s incredibly varied and covers everything from micro- to high-stakes, attracting players from around the world and placing ACR Poker as the top choice of UK poker sites.

Here’s a general overview of the ACR Poker tournament schedule:

  • Stakes: $0.01 to $2,650+
  • Variants covered: Hold’em, Omaha, PLO5, Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud Hi/Lo, Stud
  • Tournament types: Freezeout, Rebuy, Re-entry, Progressive Knockout, Bounty, Mystery Bounty, Satellites
  • Combined guarantees: $9.2 million+ per week

The most attractive aspect of ACR Poker tournaments, other than the fact that you can enter for less than $1, is the prize money. ACR’s tournament team added more money to the weekly schedule back in 2024. As well as pushing the weekly guarantees to over $9.2 million, the team added more MTTs with buy-ins of $50 or less.

The end result is a tournament schedule that’s unrivaled – and we haven’t even mentioned the Venom series yet, which we’ll cover later in our ACR Poker review.

ACR Poker Freerolls

Anyone can get onto the first rung of ACR Poker’s tournament ladder without spending a cent, thanks to an ongoing promotion known as Freerolls Galore. As the name suggests, you’ll have access to multiple daily freerolls, and each one comes with a $50 prizepool. There are at least eight per day.

What’s interesting is that different variants are covered throughout the week. For example, Monday’s freerolls are No Limit Hold’em, while Tuesday’s are Pot Limit Omaha. It’s not easy to find any non-Hold’em freerolls, so this is a big plus.

ACR Sit & Gos (SNGs)

Standard SNGs costing between $0.53 and $215 are flanked by hyper-turbo Jackpot SNGs, known as Spinz. What’s unique about ACR’s Jackpot SNGs is that everyone has a shot at winning the top prize. There are seven buy-ins: $0.25, $1, $5, $10, $25, $50, and $100. Each jackpot SNG has random prize multipliers ranging from 2x to 10,000x or more.

At the highest level, the top prize is a massive $1.2 million. It’s really rare, with the website stating a 1 in 10 million probability of landing the jackpot, but there are plenty of other juicy prizes between the minimum and maximum.

ACR Poker Cash Games

Even though ACR rightly gets a lot of credit for its massive MTTs, it also has excellent, busy cash games at all stakes.

Here’s a general overview of what you’ll find in the ACR Poker lobby for cash games:

  • Stakes: $0.01/$0.02 to $300/$600
  • Variants covered: Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 5-Card Omaha, 7-Card Stud, Stud Hi/Lo
  • Table types: Full-ring, six-max, fast-fold, all-in or fold (AoF), capped, bomb pot

The ACR lobby runs 24/7 cash games starting at $0.01/$0.02 and topping out at $300/$600. There are usually 10,000+ active players on the network, but we’ve seen traffic surpass the 20,000-player mark.

That means you’ll never struggle to find No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha games. There’s less action in the 5-Card Omaha and Stud lobbies, particularly if you play $3/$6 or higher. That being said, you’ll get action in these less popular variants if you wait long enough.

A word of warning about ACR’s cash games: there are quite a few skilled players. We’re not saying the site is infested with sharks, but compared to other sites, the level of competition is slightly tougher.

But don’t worry, because there are plenty of soft spots. We’ve played Blitz (aka fast-fold tables) a few times, and people play basic ABC poker. There are also play bomb pot games. This feature generates action by taking four big blinds from each player before random hands, then skipping to the flop with all players involved.

That money goes into the “bomb pot,” meaning there’s more to win at the end of the hand. This feature’s particularly useful in low-stakes PLO games, because players over-value their hands. Basically, people get blinded by the pot and play recklessly.

ACR Poker Variants

The ACR Poker lobby contains games covering six variants, which is more than most offshore poker sites. Short Deck is missing, which is a shame, but there’s enough variety to keep you active.

Here are the available poker variants at the time of our ACR Poker review:

Game Type Availability
Texas Hold’em
Omaha Hi
Omaha Hi/Lo
5-Card Omaha
Razz
Seven Card Stud
Seven-Card Stud 8 or Better (aka Hi/Lo)

ACR Poker Series & Tournaments

ACR App Tournaments

We said earlier in this ACR Poker review that the weekly tournament schedule is bolstered by special events. The regular MTT schedule has a massive $9.2 million+ guaranteed every week. But things get even crazier when a limited series is on. Of all the special events ACR runs, the Venom is the biggest and the best.

The Venom

The Venom series holds a Guinness World Record; that’s how remarkable it is. The record it holds is the largest cryptocurrency payout at $1,050,559.50. The Bitcoin prize was won by TheBigKid after taking down the 2019 Venom main event.

As impressive as that payout is, Venom has paid out a lot more. With ACR upping the guarantee every year, Dominik Nitsche took home $1,818,044 after beating PushOrdie at the 2024 main event final table.

Other ACR Poker tournaments have been added over the years to create a Venom series, including Venom Fever and Venom Warmup. But the $2,650 buy-in Main Event remains the focus for every serious tournament player.

What we like most about the Venom, other than the fact that it pays multiple million-dollar prizes, is the fact that you can qualify for free. There are tons of freerolls and low-stakes satellites, so everyone has a chance of getting a seat in the main event. The tournament is so huge it’s actually held across other sites simultaneously, as you can read about in our Ya Poker review.

Unique Events at ACR Poker

The Venom is the pinnacle of ACR Poker’s tournament schedule. But there are plenty of other events worth looking out for, including:

  • Satellites to live poker tournaments and major online series, such as the OSSXL.
  • MTTs that let you play with ACR Poker’s ambassadors.

ACR Poker Rakeback vs Elite Benefits

Dating back to when it was known as ACR Cardroom, the site has a unique loyalty program that allows you to earn extras in two ways: VIP rewards or rakeback. We’ve never come across an online poker site that lets you choose the way you earn rewards. Similar systems might exist, but certainly not at the biggest mainstream poker sites.

Everyone is enrolled in the Elite Benefits program by default. We stuck with the loyalty rewards program for about six months before switching to ACR Poker rakeback. We did this because we prefer the direct benefits of rakeback over bonuses.

But there are unique merits to both ACR Poker room bonus systems.

ACR Elite Benefits

ACR Poker’s loyalty program is made up of six tiers:

  • Lieutenant (default level)
  • Captain (earn at least 750 points per month)
  • Major (earn at least 3,000 points per month)
  • Colonel (earn at least 7,500 points per month)
  • General (earn at least 100,000 points in a calendar year)
  • 5-Star General (earn at least 1,000,000 points in a calendar year)

The number of points you earn and maintain each month and year determines your rank. As before, you’ll earn 5.5 points for every $1 you pay in rake. The higher you climb, the more Elite Benefits you’ll unlock.

With free tournament tickets and special bonuses, Elite Benefits allows you to convert points to cash. This makes it similar to rakeback. But there’s a tipping point where rakeback becomes slightly better.

ACR Rakeback

You can switch to ACR Poker rakeback at any time by emailing support@acrpoker.eu. There’s no need for any special ACR poker bonus code or anything – just tell them you want to change. A member of the team will review and process your request within 72 hours.

Once the switch is complete, you’ll receive 27% rakeback for all games played. For context, 27% is up there with the best rakeback deals right now. You can see a detailed breakdown in our video analysis below:

Should I Choose Elite Benefits or ACR Poker Rakeback?

You should make the decision to stick with Elite Benefits or switch to ACR rakeback based on how often you play poker. Elite Benefits are better for frequent players, and flat rakeback is preferable if you just dip in and out for the odd tournament.

Here’s an easy way to choose between ACR Poker rakeback and Elite Benefits:

  • ACR Poker rakeback is better for players who rake less than $1,500 per month.
  • Elite Benefits is better for players who contribute more than $1,500 per month in ACR rake.

The tipping point can change over time depending on adjustments to ACR’s rake charges. But, as a general guide, $1,500 is the point to consider.

Strategy for Playing at ACR Poker

We’ve got tons of poker strategy articles to help you improve your game. But this is an ACR Poker review, so we’ve put together four tips below to help you find success at ACR Poker specifically:

  • Stick to your limits. You might have your sights set on becoming the next Phil Ivey, but poker is unpredictable. Even if you think you’re good enough to play at higher stakes, don’t move up until you’ve got a big enough bankroll. That means 50+ buy-ins for cash games and more than 100 buy-ins for ACR tournaments.
  • Use the stats. The ACR lobby contains a wealth of useful stats, as does the in-game HUD. Look for games with a lot of players going to the flop with low aggression factors.
  • Squeeze in position. We’ve had a lot of success with squeeze plays in ACR Poker tournaments. This is where you re-raise a 3-bettor, putting pressure on the original raiser.
  • Improve your game using the CardPlayer Poker School. A good poker player never stops learning. It’s that simple.

Lobby & Software

ACR App Lobby

Next to the game type, format, and number of players, ACR’s cash game lobby shows you the average pot size, the percentage of players seeing a flop, and the number of hands played per hour.

These stats are crucial for anyone wanting to find the juiciest games, so we recommend taking note of them before you ante up. Something else you should do is use ACR’s filters. Having the ability to filter out tables that don’t fit your needs makes it a lot easier to find the right games.

If we’ve got one criticism, it’s the off/on tabs. We like to open a tab and see all the games within that category. When you tap ACR’s tabs, you’re essentially turning them off and on. This means you can have multiple tabs activated at once. Some of you might find it useful to toggle the tabs off and on as required, but we found it a bit awkward.

ACR Poker Features

ACR is packed with unique features, which really add to the experience at the tables.

ACR Poker table

ACR Poker tournament features

  • Staking: Ask for financial backing or stake other players in ACR tournaments.
  • Deal making: Another useful feature for tournament players is the ability to make final-table deals.
  • In-game HUD: Track your opponent’s tendencies using ACR’s inbuilt HUD.
  • Railbird tickets: This feature allows you to view up to three tournaments for five hours. Railbird tickets simultaneously give you a way to get reads on players while also reducing the advantage sharks can have over fish.

ACR Poker cash game features

  • Run it twice: Play the river or entire boards twice to reduce variance when you’re all-in.
  • Auto buy-in and top-up: Automatically buy in and top-up your balance to a pre-determined number of blinds.
  • Hotkeys: Assign pre-determined actions to hotkeys of your choice to make multi-tabling easier.

ACR Poker App

ACR App Poker Gameplay

You can download ACR Poker on all iOS and Android devices. The iOS app came out in late 2024, but its Android counterpart has been active for a while. Both ACR mobile poker apps are easy to use and offer a full range of games and features.

Our one criticism that came up during our ACR Poker review is that they’re not available via the App Store or Google Play. You need to find the download section on the website, receive an email, use that link, and then fiddle with your phone’s settings to confirm it’s a trusted app.

This isn’t necessarily a problem. The mobile apps will be as safe as the desktop platform. But it’s just quicker and easier when apps are in the official stores.

Safety and Customer Support at ACR Poker

You’ll need to verify your identity to make a withdrawal. Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are necessary, even for cryptocurrency withdrawals. This is necessary to prevent fraud.

This is fairly standard, but it’s something to keep in mind, as it could delay your first withdrawal – especially as ACR Poker live chat isn’t available 24/7. So, it might take a few emails to get things in order.

The customer support options at ACR Poker are:

  • FAQ
  • AI chatbot
  • ACR Live chat
  • Email (support@acrpoker.eu)

ACR Poker is a hybrid poker platform, which means it accepts fiat (USD) and crypto deposits. Here’s an overview of how to make deposits and withdrawals at ACR:

Ambassadors at ACR

ACR has plenty of respectable names on its roster, including Ana Marquez, Ebony Kenney, Nacho Barbero, and Chris Moorman. But the man most worthy of a mention is Chris Moneymaker.

He might not be the most talented pro on ACR’s roster, but he’s the most important. Moneymaker’s 2003 WSOP exploits paved the way for a golden age in poker.

The former accountant from Atlanta defied the odds after winning a seat in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event for $86. Moneymaker’s rise from online grinder to WSOP World Champion sparked a revolution and helped make the poker industry what it is today.

Recent Updates at ACR Poker

The biggest shake-up at ACR in recent years is its rebrand. Switching from Americas Cardroom to ACR brought a fresh look to the company’s website, as well as a new iOS app.

We also noticed some new games in the ACR Poker lobby in early 2026, including Skip-it MTTs, which allow you to bring multiple Day 1 stacks through to create a bigger combined Day 2 stack.

ACR Bot Controversy

To create a completely honest ACR Poker review, we need to talk about bots. And if you know your poker, then you know exactly where this is going.

ACR has been around a while, and, like all popular poker sites, it has attracted its fair share of bot issues. Some players have been found using bots to get an unfair advantage over honest players.

The good news is that ACR’s security team has dealt with plenty of bots over the years, so their detection software has been finely tuned to catch them. The best example of this is the bot accounts that were detected and subsequently disqualified from the 2024 Venom main event, with money being paid back to affected players in the tournament.

ACR Poker Personal Review

As you can probably tell from this ACR Poker review, I’m a fan of the site. The ACR tournament schedule is virtually unrivalled, particularly when you only focus on crypto poker sites. I also think the $12.5 million MTTs sometimes overshadow an impressive selection of cash games.

Bot issues in the past have been largely resolved, but the lingering concerns remain an issue. What I will say is that the security team is incredibly proactive when it comes to these sorts of issues.

Overall, ACR is a world-class poker site with something to offer every type of player. MTT maestros will get the most out of this app, but I really enjoy ACR’s cash games.
