Finnish High Flyer Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen Battles, Million Dollar Gambles, And A Ticket To Space

In February 2009, Jens Kyllönen left his footprint on international soil when he took down the European Poker Tour Scandinavian Open for a hefty payday of €878,057. At just 19 years old, the young pro beat 462 players and destroyed the final table. He had the poker world at his feet and the bankroll to explore it. Four years later and he’s now doing most of his exploring from his home, raising the flag for Finland with every virtual poker feat accomplished. “I was 19 and, looking back at it, just a kid. I’ve grown a lot as a person and got some more stability in my life,” he says. “My everyday life hasn’t changed too much, I’m still using most of my time on poker.
