The largest poker tournament in the history of CoinPoker kicks off at the end of the month.
Players can begin qualifying for The One on Sept. 28. The event starts on Oct. 4 and features a $5 million guaranteed prize pool and a $1 million guarantee on the first-place prize. Starting at the end of September, players can play freeroll tournaments, step satellites, and direct satellites about a week before the first Day 1 flights run on Oct. 4.
Day 1 flights run from Oct. 4 through Oct. 12 before the survivors of the 26 flights will combine on Day 2
Satellites Start As GOPC Ends
Satellite events begin the same day the Global Online Poker Championship concludes. Players can enter via freerolls, $0.10 step satellites, and $5.50 direct satellites.
From Oct. 4 through Oct. 11, CoinPoker will host three flights daily. The first at 1:30 p.m., the second at 4:30 p.m., and a final flight at 7:30 p.m. UTC. These standard flights feature 10-minute blind levels and 2.5 hours of late registration. Two final turbo flights with five-minute blinds take place on October 12 at 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. UTC. All Day 1 participants start with 125,000 chips, or 125 big blinds.
CoinPoker allows unlimited Day 1 entries. Players who qualify for Day 2 multiple times will advance their largest chip stack. The operator is also implementing a “Flight Buy-In-Back” policy. Every entry that survives to Day 2 receives a cash refund of the $250 buy-in. Redundant qualifying entries are converted into a cash bonus. The platform calculates this bonus by subtracting the $250 buy-in from the Day 2 minimum cash payout, then adds the standard buy-in refund.
Additionally, CoinPoker will hold daily promotion rewards for players dealing with the wrong side of variance. During the first 23 flights, the three players who re-enter the most will receive a free ticket to the tournament. Standings reset daily at midnight UTC, and winners from the final day receive their tickets before the turbo flights begin on Oct. 12.
Players can also secure a seat through community participation. Moderators on the official CoinPoker Discord will nominate active users for the September Discord Hero award, with the wider community voting to select the winner. The recipient gets a $250 tournament ticket, a coaching session, and temporary server recognition.
The One will operate as an annual event. Qualifiers go live immediately following the close of the GOPC on Sept. 28.
