CoinPoker kicked off its Heads Up Cash Game World Championship yesterday. But the online poker room launched more than just the high-stakes competition.
The site also rolled out its new rewards program alongside the kickoff of the heads-up poker competition. They called the new system High Stakes Battle Rewards.
Battle Rewards are only available to players at tables with $50-$100 blinds or bigger. The system is meant to reward high-stakes players for starting and generating games.
The program activates when high-stakes poker pros or semi-pros are clashing. Then, it reduces cost by returning 90% of the value generated at the table. Thus, it lowers costs for players and ensures high-stakes games continue to thrive on CoinPoker.
Group Stage Starts In Heads Up World Championship
The Heads Up Cash Game World Championship kicked off on Monday, April 6 and runs through May 3. Both the no-limit hold’em competition and the pot-limit Omaha contest are both in the first of three stages – the group stage.

In both formats, the players must survive three stages of the competition to be crowned the champion. They will be squaring off in high-stakes poker matches with blinds of $50-$100 and buy-ins of $10,000.
In addition to the money on the line, players can win additional cash and prizes depending on where they finish on the leaderboard. The winner of each leaderboard will receive a Rolex watch.
The tables reserved for the matches will be run rake-free. Moreover, leaderboard positions will not be based off of how much money a player won. But by how many EV BB’s they wont over the course of the challenge.
The EV scoring system ensures variance has a more muted effect on the final outcomes.
