Chino Rheem Repeats As PGT PLO Series Champion

45-Year-Old Poker Pro Now A Four-Time PGT Series Champion After Back-To-Back PGT PLO Triumphs

In the opening event of the 2026 PGT PLO Series at Venetian Las Vegas, Chino Rheem finished second to Bruno Furth. By the close of the eight-event festival, Rheem went on to cash three more times, while Furth did not cash again.

Furth accumulated the most total PGT points in this win, which was worth 300 PGT points. By virtue of a key rule in PGT’s Player of the Series contest, Furth’s failure to cash in a second event laid the ground for Rheem to be crowned the PGT PLO Series champion.

Rheem’s win makes him a back-to-back PGT PLO Series champion, following up on his October 2025 victory inside the PokerGO Studio. It’s his fourth career PGT series championship nod, making him the only player in the tour’s history to do so.

How Rheem Secured His Latest Series Champion Nod

Rheem accumulated 281 PGT points over his four cashes at Venetian. After the 45-year-old poker pro’s second-place finish in the opening event, a $3,300 PLO event with 254 entrants, Rheem immediately jumped into event no. 2, and finished eighth in that $5,300 PLO event. Rheem’s streak continued in event 3, with a fourth-place finish (and two bounties) in the $5,300 PLO quattro bounty affair.

His final result of the festival came in event no. 5, with Rheem recording a fifth-place finish in the $5,300 PLO mystery bounty event. Jeremy Druckman, the champion of the $10,300 PLO championship event who made two final tables in total, was the runner-up on the series leaderboard.

In the year-long PGT leaderboard, Rheem now sits in sixth place overall with 672 PGT points.

The three-time World Poker Tour champion and 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure winner now has more than $19.5 million in career earnings after adding the $136,555 in scores he accrued during this festival.
