Keating, Nik Airball Big Winners Of 12-Hour Livestream Cash Game

Alan Keating Wins $2 Million Pot

While the session may have fallen short of the 24 hour target, the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Marathon didn’t lack for exciting action. Over the course of more than 12 hours, Alan Keating and Nikhil ‘Airball’ Arcot emerged as massive winners.

Keating was the beneficiary of one of the biggest pots in the history of televised poker. His three-way pot against Martin Kabrhel and Steve Swedlow hit $2,082,000, and Keating was all too happy to oblige with a flopped full house.

There were bluffs, bad beats and banter for days, unsurprisingly, considering the venue and lineup. In case you missed the action, or parts of it, these were some of the highlights from the Million Dollar Marathon.

Keating Catches Pure

The first highlight of the night came on a battle of draws. Keating, Sam ‘Senor Tilt’ Kiki, and Swedlow went three ways to a K♦8♥7♦ flop. The action checked to Keating, holding A♦9♦ for the nut flush draw, and he led out for $15,000 into a pot of $20,000. Kiki called with 10♥9♠, Swedlow got out of the way, and Kiki hit gin on the 6♥ turn. Kiki checked, Keating bet $40,000, and Kiki check-raised to $200,000.

Keating, who had added a straight draw to his flush draw, eventually called the additional $160,000. It worked out well, as the 6♦ river made his flush.

Kiki checked, and Keating bet $425,000.

“It’s fucking criminal, these fucking rivers,” Kiki said. “Beyond fucking criminal. I had you fucking smoked.” After about two minutes, Kiki let go of his losing hand.

The Big One

A multi-way pot started simply enough. Brandon Steven opened for a raise to $4,000 with 10♥8♥, and Keating flat called with pocket tens. Kiki called with 9♥8♠, Swedlow got in there with J♦9♠, and Kabrhel called with J♣6♣ in the big blind.

Despite so many shared cards, the J♥J♠10♠ somehow hit all five hands. Swedlow led out for $1,000, Kabrhel and Steven called, and Keating made a considerable raise to $25,000. Kiki folded his open-ended straight draw, Swedlow called, and then Kabrhel raised it to $69,000.

Steven got out of the way, Keating flat-called, and Swedlow pondered his options.

“What in the fuck?” Swedlow exclaimed, trying to sort out the wild action on the flop. He reached over towards the dealer, grabbed an all-in button, and slapped it down on the table. His stack of $784,500 was at risk.

“I’m all in as well,” Kabrhel responded. After some light needling from Kabrhel to Keating, Keating called with his full house.

With both other players covered, and almost $2.1 million in the pot, Keating agreed to two runouts. He dodged all four cards, and scooped the whole thing.

Peter Steals One From Keating

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Keating through the night, though. He, Steven, and Peter went three ways to the turn of a K♥10♥9♠6♠ board, when all hell broke loose.

Steven bet $23,000 into a pot of $35,500 with top two pair, holding K♣9♣. Keating called with K♠8♣, top pair and a straight draw, and the action got back to Peter, holding 8♥6♥. With a pair, a gutshot straight draw and a flush draw, Peter made a big raise, to $180,000.

Steven, somehow, found a fold with two pair. Keating called, and the river was the 5♠. Peter instantly shoved, for $488,500. Keating went into the tank for eight full minutes before reluctantly letting go of his hand.

Steven’s Aces Go Down In Flames

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Steven, his session came crashing to an end in the worst case scenario for most poker players. Kiki raised to $4,000 from under the gun with pocket fours, and Steven three-bet to $12,000 from the cutoff with pocket aces.

Keating called on the button with J♣10♦, Stanley called with 9♥7♥ in the small blind, and Kiki called. The Q♠9♣7♦ flop immediately put Steven in danger. He led out for $27,000, Keating called with his open-ended straight draw, and Stanley promptly raised to $100,000. Steven pondered his options, and eventually shoved for $352,500. Keating got out of the way, and Stanley called with his straight draw. Stanley snap-called.

They ran the turn and river twice. The first board gave Stanley a full house on the turn, and the second runout was clean. “Guys, I’m done,” Steven declared, ending his session down $2 million.

One Final Clash

A three-way preflop all-in isn’t entirely uncommon, especially at Hustler Casino Live. The hands were a little less predictable, though, given the action. Kiki’s pocket eights took on Kabrhel’s Q♣J♣, and Phong ‘Turbo’ Nguyen’s A♠10♦. Kabrhel actually had the most equity of the three hands, at 41 percent, followed by 32 percent for Kiki and 27 percent for Nguyen.

Kabrhell made trip queens, but with the shortest stack at $226,000, he claimed $680,000. Kiki claimed the side pot, worth $868,000.

Final Tally

The game collapsed just shy of 13 hours after a bit of an argument broke out between Keating and Kiki concerning the nit game. Keating and Arcot each walked away as seven-figure winners. That’s especially impressive, considering Keating’s 64% VPIP in the game. Stanley, largely by virtue of his big pot against Steven, walked away as the other big winner.

Both Steve and Brandon walked away as seven-figure losers on the night.
