Pot-limit Omaha action on CoinPoker continues to thrive, and ‘GucciNIKE’ continues their comeback against ‘Giselle54.’ Some players have been joining the games with those two as they battle at four-max tables with lower stakes of $200-$400 with a $200 ante. However, they’re still playing a lot of heads-up hands in both regular and 5-card PLO.
GucciNIKE booked a win of about $400,000 on Nov. 24. Some of the biggest pots were in deep-stacked 5-card games, in which GucciNIKE continues to shine.
GucciNIKE Gets Paid With Straight Flush
GucciNIKE and Giselle54 were a staggering 400 big blinds deep when Giselle54 opened for $1,200, and GucciNIKE called.
Giselle54 continued for $2,085 on the K♣6♠5♠ flop, and GucciNIKE made it $6,718. Giselle54 called. On the 4♠, GucciNIKE slowed down with a check. Giselle54 bet $12,162, and GucciNIKE called. The river was the 2♥. GucciNIKE checked, Giselle54 potted for $40,541, and GucciNIKE shoved all in for $139,855 effective.
Giselle54 called and showed K♠Q♠J♠9♥8♠ for a king-high flush. GucciNIKE showed 9♠8♦7♠6♦3♠ for a straight flush to win the $320,273 pot.

Hand Analysis
Giselle54 opens, and GucciNIKE has a hand that might look good for three-betting. However, in 5-card PLO, it’s important to keep in mind that lower straights and flushes lose a lot of value compared to regular PLO. It’s just much easier for opponents to make better straights and flushes, so these middling cards lose quite a bit of value.
On the flop, GucciNIKE finds the nut wrap with a double-gutter straight flush possibility and opts to check-raise. Having three spades, a 6, and the nut wrap makes it less likely that Giselle54 has a hand that can reraise the flop. And even if GucciNIKE does face a reraise, this hand is strong enough to peel.
Giselle54 calls with top pair and a good flush draw, then makes the flush on the turn. They also have the 8s blocker to reduce straight flush combos. Most importantly, holding four spades, they can be confident their hand is usually best.
Since GucciNIKE didn’t three-bet preflop, they don’t have a ton of nut flushes. Therefore, check-calling the straight flush protects a large portion of their range.
Once the river bricks off, Giselle54 should usually be best, but holding four spades, including the Qs and Js, means it’s going to be tough to get paid off. A small bet might make more money overall, but Giselle54 goes large.
GucciNIKE springs the trap and slams the money in, and Giselle54 is in a gross spot. On the one hand, getting in 400 blinds without the nuts in a game like 5-card PLO often doesn’t end well. On the other hand, this is probably as good a bluff catcher as they’ll have. They block tons of flushes and the nut straight flush, and they unblock the possible bare-ace bluff. Furthermore, that bluff should show up more often in a single-raised pot.
In what probably amounts to a cooler, GucciNIKE wins an enormous pot worth 800 big blinds.
Giselle54 Can’t Hold After Flopping Nuts
Playing 125 blinds deep, GucciNIKE raised to $1,200, Giselle54 made it $3,600, and GucciNIKE reraised to $10,800. Giselle54 called.
Giselle54 then led for pot ($21,980) on the 10♦9♥7♦, GucciNIKE jammed, and Giselle54 called for $38,360.
GucciNIKE showed A♦A♥6♦2♣ for aces and the nut flush draw. They needed help against A♠J♥8♠4♣ for the nuts, and the deck delivered immediately with the K♦. The 4♥ river was a formality.

Hand Analysis
Giselle54 makes a wide three-bet here, as A-J-8-4 with just one suit is too disconnected. Having a fourth card that connects better with the J-8 makes three-betting good even when the hand is single-suited.
Facing a four-bet, Giselle54 could just dump the hand at that point. In a hand that started not far above 100 blinds, they’ll usually be against aces or another very strong ace-high hand that dominates them like A-K-K-Q.
Giselle54 decides to see a flop and smashes the nuts. It’s an interesting situation because the board also heavily favors their range after calling a four-bet. At the same time, not having diamonds makes the situation a little bit precarious.
Giselle54 should do a lot of leading, but usually for a smaller size than pot. They opt to go for full pot, which might chase away some A-A combos that totally miss the board, such as the one GucciNIKE actually has, but without diamonds. That’s great when Giselle54 has something like A-K-J-10, but not ideal when holding a straight.
In any case, GucciNIKE has a clear stack off with one of their better aces. The unlucky spot turns in their favor in a hurry as they spike the unbeatable flush on the turn for a $98,720 pot.
