If you’ve ever played poker in Brazil, you’re incredibly familiar with Léo Rizzo. For those unfamiliar, Rizzo is a wealthy businessman and the founder and CEO of Soccer Hospitality Holding. The company offers luxury experiences in VIP boxes at virtually all the biggest stadiums in São Paulo.
In that business, you need to be a bit insane, and Rizzo displays that insanity on the felt. While Rizzo is known for his exuberance and for firing maximum bullets into poker tournaments, he has also won his fair share, winning over $1.1 million in career live tournament earnings.
Most notably, Rizzo is known for his catch phrase: “é tudo do oitavo!” after he wins a giant hand, followed by “Pow! Pow! Pow!” The sequence always generates laughter throughout the poker room.
This phrase directly translates to “It’s all about the eighth.” He has referred to himself as the eighth-best player in the world since finishing eighth in 2018’s 1,637-entry WSOP Circuit main event in Rio de Janeiro.
On Wednesday, at BSOP ONE, Rizzo hosted a high-stakes cash game, where he continued to play his unusual style with a high . While Rizzo is more known for his ridiculous bluffs, he made a call that went viral throughout South America.

The game was eight-handed with blinds of R$100-R$200 (roughly $17.50-$35 USD) with the 7-2 game on.
Popular Twitch streamer “LuquEt4” raised to R$1,500 with K♠9♥ from early position. Former Brazilian national team center-back Cris three-bet to R$6,500 from the hijack with 7♦2♣. Rizzo cold called from the small blind with 8♦7c. LuquEt4 folded.
With R$14,700 in the middle, the flop came J♣J♥6♣. Cris snap-jammed for R$29,000. Rizzo took about 10 seconds to call and immediately asked “seven-deuce?”
The table went crazy when Cris turned over the seven-deuce, breaking out into applause. Then, after some showboating to the rail, completely lost it when Rizzo turned over his eight-high.
The board ran out with the 3♣ and the 9♣, giving Rizzo a better flush and a pot worth R$72,700, roughly about $13,000.
