Cash Game Strategy With Live At The Bike

The Details

Game: $10-$20 no-limit hold’em

Action: Harry raised to $60 with 94 from under the gun +1 and David called with A10 in the hijack. Greg called with J8 on the button and Josh, who was the original limper, called from under the gun with 85.

The flop came down 852 and Josh checked. Harry bet $195 and David called. Greg folded top pair and Josh check-raised all in for $735. Harry then moved all in over the top for an additional $1,500.

David tank called with the nut flush draw and the board ran out 9 J, giving David the massive pot.

The Questions

Why is Harry raising preflop with 94? Should David be three-betting preflop? Should Josh lead out on that flop, or was the check-raise shove the best play? Would you have called Harry’s all in with David’s nut flush draw after only investing $195?
