Zynga Poker, the online play money poker giant closely associated with social media platform Facebook, has lost its general manager, Laurence Toney.
Toney confirmed his move to AllThingsD.com saying it was less about Zynga and more about other opportunities.
“I have been approached by several organizations that I find exciting and compelling. It is the right time for me in my career move,” he said.
Zynga recently announced it would not meet its initial financial projections for the full year 2012 while it appointed former 888 executive Maytal Ginzburg as chief operating officer.
The company says it has plans for a real money gaming platform including poker outside of the U.S..
