American Casino Entertainment Properties, a casino company, is looking to do business as an operator — a designation only available to brick-and-mortars. It also wants to exist as a service provider — entities in charge of maintaining and running the online poker software of a gaming establishment.
ACEP owns and operates Stratosphere Hotel Casino and Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder, and The Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada.
ACEP reported net revenues of $86.7 million for the third quarter of 2011.
The company is now the 14th to seek Nevada approval to participate in real-money online gaming.
Here’s a complete list that Card Player obtained from the Nevada Gaming Control Board:
- Cantor G&W (Nevada) L.P. — Service Provider
- South Point Poker (Gaughan Straight Holdings) — Operator
- IGT — Manufacturer/Service Provider
- 888 Holdings plc/888 US Limited — Manufacturer/Distributor/Service Provider

In addition to the online poker applicants, two companies have applied to independently test gaming technology in the Silver State. Gaming Laboratories International and BMM Compliance have already submitted paperwork. Both companies offer their testing services globally.
Private testing labs would also be allowed to inspect and certify online poker sites.
