The second PartyPoker.com Monthly Million was won last Sunday by Russian player SuperTight31 at a final table dominated by Russia and Denmark. SuperTight31 topped the 1,591 player field lifting $163,114.08 for his victory as 200 players were paid in the $1 million guaranteed event.
“The rise of Russia in the poker world has been acknowledged for some time,” said a PartyPoker spokesman, “and the second PartyPoker.com Monthly Million was very much dominated by two very strong players from that country. A few years ago you would have said that the strongest Russian online players were those that played in big Limit games but the situation now is very different.”
