Danish hero Peter Eastgate is proving himself worthy of the World Champion title, as once again he played some envy-inspiring poker and took down the $5,000 side event at the PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure.
Paradise Island in the Bahamas was home to the event which saw 273 entries and a top prize of $343,000.
Eastgate’s final adversary was Florian Langmann, but the young German was outstacked and outwitted, and with all the chips in preflop, champion Eastgate’s pocket kings tore Langmann’s jacks asunder.
Langmann journeys home $184,300 richer due to his runner up finish. The event was another testimony to the penache, flair, (and brutality) of European poker at its best.
