PKR.com, the 3D online poker room, has developed and launched a new heads-up “phases” tournament which sees the winner of each heads-up phase game advance to the next stage — phase — while their defeated opponent drops back two levels to take another shot.
Phase One starts with a $4 buy-in, thought players can freeroll with enough PKR points, which can be spun up to a $380 payout.
PKR cardroom manager Neil Wright said, “Players have really taken to Phase tournaments because they recognise the value of getting so much poker – and a shot at such a great prize pool – for a really low buy-in. So moving the concept to a heads up format made a lot of sense.”
