British pro Peter Gould has beaten 33 challengers, including his son Josh, to win the £2,500 no-limit hold'em main event at the National Poker League UK Open. He collected £32,500 for his victory.

4 3 gave Peter a substantial edge, although the 2on the turn gave Josh a gutshot-straight draw. However, the 10 on the river sealed Josh's fate and Peter went on to confront Patrik Selin heads up.
Gould had £186,900 in chips and Patrik Selin £153,100 going into their heads-up match, which lasted just six hands.
Selin made a £7,000 preflop raise with 10 5 and was met with a £20,000 reraise by Gould. Selin then moved all in and Gould called with A Q. The tournament would be decided by the fall of the five board cards.
They came K 8 7 2 8 and Gould was victorious with just ace high.
