CardPlayer.com Kicks off Second King of the Gridiron Contest

Las Vegas, Nev., Sept. 14, 2005 – CardPlayer.com's King of the Gridiron Contest has proven extremely popular, so popular that the site is offering a second chance to win a seat into the World Series of Poker for only $10.

The sweepstakes allows participants to win a $12,000 World Series prize package for just a few bucks. The package, sponsored by Full Tilt Poker, includes a $10,000 seat in the 2006 World Series main event and $2,000 in spending money.

"Whether you're entering for the first time or you have already participated in the original contest, you'll get the opportunity to compete for a completely separate $12,000 grand prize package sponsored by our friends at Full Tilt Poker," says Card Player Media, LLC. Chairman Barry Shulman. "We'll still name a grand prize winner from the first contest, but now we're giving another contestant a chance at the prize."

To be crowned king, and win your way into the Super Bowl of poker involves a very simple concept. You pick a football team each week. If that team wins, you'll advance to the next week. If your team loses, you're out. Each successful pick get you closer to the $12,000 prize. Contestants can enter as many times as they wish, for $10 per entry.

You can enter the second chance sweepstakes even if you still have active picks in the original competition, and you can register as many times as you like. If you play your cards right, you could even win both grand prize packages.

To participate in the King of the Gridiron Contest, all contestants need is a free MyCardPlayer account. To sign up for this free account, and for a full list of rules and to learn more how to play, go to
