Jeff Shulman Bio

Jeff "Happy" Shulman knows poker. He runs Card Player's everyday operations as president and chief operating officer of Card Player Media LLC.

Shulman was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1975. He has been playing poker since the third grade. It has been said that playing against his fellow summer-camp friends prompted him to become such a skilled player.

Shulman finished seventh in the 2000 World Series of Poker main event, which was documented in the James McManus book "Positively Fifth Street." He has wins in the 2003 L.A. Poker Classic and the 2004 no-limit hold'em event at the Plaza Ultimate Poker Challenge. He was also featured on Poker Superstars III on FSN.

In 2009, Shulman made his return to the WSOP main event in a big way, making the final table and becoming a member of the November Nine.
