World Series of Poker organizers have announced a big change to the tour’s schedule for 2026, with the WSOP Europe moving to a new venue and slot on the calendar. The news broke just hours before the 2025 WSOPE main event final table began at King’s Resort Rozvadov. That venue has hosted the series each fall since 2017, apart from during the live poker shutdown during the COVID-19 shutdown of 2020.
The series will run from March 31 to April 12 at the Hilton Prague in Czechia next year. The WSOP is teaming up with King’s Casino Prague for the festival, which will once again feature 15 gold bracelet events.
“It’s an exciting rebirth of the World Series of Poker Europe in Prague,” said WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart. “We have a big ambition to elevate this festival to one of the very best in the world. We look forward to welcoming players to a great poker city next April.”
Looking Back At WSOPE History
The WSOPE debuted in 2007 in London. That was the first time that a bracelet was awarded outside of Las Vegas. After a few more years in England, the stop was held in France from 2011 through 2013. There was then one year off to make way for the WSOP Asia Pacific. The WSOPE returned in 2015 with a one-year stint in Berlin, Germany.
After another one-year break, the festival moved to Rozvadov on the Czech-German border.
Several big names have won the WSOPE main event along the way. Prior champions include Annette Obrestad (2007), John Juanda (2008), Phil Hellmuth (2012), and Adrian Mateos (2013).
The full schedule for the 2026 WSOPE has not yet been revealed, but is expected shortly.
