There are tight folds, and then there’s what we witnessed over the weekend on Hustler Casino Live in a wild Friday night cash game.

In a game full of live poker and online poker grinders, Nikhil Arcot, of all people, was able to bluff “Pipi” off the nut flush with a river raise.

This was an even crazier feat as Pipi only needed to call $55,400 to win a massive $444,500 pot. In other words Pipi was getting nearly 8:1 pot odds to call.

Should Any Bluff-Catcher Be Profitable?

Playing seven-handed with the blinds of $100-$200 with a $200 ante, “Denis the Menace” limped under the gun with KJ. “Pipi” then raised to $1,200 from the hijack with A2.

Arcot three-bet to $4,400 from the cutoff with AK and they went three ways to the flop after “Denis the Menace” and “Pipi” both called.

The flop was 776 and Arcot continued for $6,000. “Pipi” raised to $25,000 and, after “Denis the Menace” folded, Arcot called.

At this point, “Pipi” had a 15.15% chance to win the hand, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator.

The turn was the Q. “Pipi” bet $35,000 and Arcot called.

The river was the J. “Pipi” bet $100,000 and Arcot quickly moved all in for $155,400. “Pipi” tanked before finally making the fold.

Given how splashy Arcot is, he could have reasonably had a hand like K10 or K9. “Pipi” can beat some hands Arcot shoves for value. As a result, “Pipi” should lean more towards calling.

Yes, there are times where Arcot will have a full house. It’s reasonable for him to have those combos here. But “Pipi” probably needs to chalk it up to a cooler if he runs into those hands.

Fortunately, “Pipi” managed to bounce back and book a healthy $87,600 win. Arcot took home a nice $269,900 profit himself.
