The Carolina Panthers are the latest franchise to announce a partnership with a casino.

The North Carolina football franchise reached a multi-year agreement with Catawba Two Kings Casino.

The tribal property is the closest casino to the Charlotte area. The deal includes casino during home games and opportunities for select casino patrons to attend.

“Catawba Two Kings Casino’s new partnership with the Carolina Panthers is a wonderful opportunity for us to share the incredible experience of attending a game at Bank of America Stadium with our top casino patrons while promoting the casino to the Panthers fanbase in Charlotte and throughout the Carolinas,” Catawba Nation Gaming Authority Vice President Trent Troxel said.

Deal Comes As Tribe Builds Larger Casino

Two Kings currently operates  a temporary casino about 35 miles west of Charlotte in Kings Mountain. The casino is home to 1,100 gaming machines, 14 live table games.

Moreover, it features the state’s closest brick-and-mortar sportsbook to Charlotte. On the other hand, it does not have an online sports betting operation.

The tribe is developing a permanent casino resort adjacent to the temporary site. They plan to open the first phase of the casino in early 2026. It will feature 4,300 slots, 100 live table games, a 385-room hotel, and more.

As part of the Panthers partnership, the team will promote the Two Kings casino through in-stadium advertisements. That includes a scoreboard feature at every home game.

Additionally, fans can enroll in the casino’s rewards program at the stadium entrance for complimentary merchandise and slot play.

“While our temporary casino has continued to gain in popularity since opening in 2021, many more people will learn about it at Panthers home games,” Troxel said. “And the timing couldn’t be better as significant construction has been completed on our permanent casino resort and the partnership will still be in place when it opens.”

Several NFL teams have reached partnerships with casinos and online gaming and sports betting operators since the Supreme Court overturned the virtual ban on sports outside Nevada in 2018. The league also has a deal with Caesars Entertainment as well as with Genius Sports to provide gambling data.
