The 2025 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open saved several of its best events for last, with multiple big guaranteed tournaments all wrapping up on Tuesday, Aug. 12. While Jake Cody won the main event and Shannon Shorr took down the $25,000 high roller, there were also another couple of events that awarded six-figure top prizes on the festival’s final day.
Tice Secures Second Title of 2025

Landon Tice
The first was the $3,000 deep stack no-limit hold’em. A field of 232 entries saw the guarantee surpassed by $126,400, with the top 29 finishers all earning a share . The largest chunk of that prize money was ultimately awarded to Landon Tice, who struck a heads-up deal with Frank Brannan that saw him secure the title and $124,023. This was his second outright win of the year, having taken down a $1,100 buy-in at the Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza I in February for another $51,163.
This victory also came with 576 Card Player Player of the Year points for Tice, who now boasts seven POY-qualified final-table finishes in 2025. As a result, he has climbed to 50th place in the overall standings presented by CoinPoker.
Tice now has nearly $3.8 million in career tournament earnings to his name after this latest win. Earlier this year he recorded two of his top three scores, finishing fourth in the $25,000 six-max at the World Series of Poker for $513,577 and third in a $25,000 at the U.S. Poker Open for $246,375. His top score remains the $550,000 he took home for a runner-up finish in last year’s World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown main event.
WSOP main event sixth-place finisher Adam Hendrix (9th), high-stakes regular Brock Wilson (6th), and WPT champion Vitalijs Zavorotnijs (5th) joined Tice at the final table. Brannan, a bracelet winner, secured $107,177 as the runner-up.
