Matt AffleckMatt “MCMATTO” Affleck has more than $1.7 million in career earnings, with the highlight being a $550,000 score for winning the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) two-day event back in April of 2009. Despite that success, it was just two months ago that his mother began pestering him about getting a “real job.”

Of course, since then, he’s only done more to prove his worth in the poker world. For the second year in a row, Affleck navigated his way through the massive field of the World Series of Poker main event and into the top 100. After surpassing his 2009 best of 81st place, Affleck found himself among the chip leaders with just 15 players remaining. Then, disaster struck. Affleck was just one card away from the chip lead and a guaranteed spot at the final table when his world came crashing down. A bad beat suffered at the hands of current chip leader Jonathan Duhamel ended his run in 15th place.

Affleck joined the Online Zone on Card Player TV this week for an interview wherein he discussed not only his main-event exit, but also the positive attitude that is allowing him to move on.

Take a look at the video below.

Very good interview Julio,,,,,,, bad beats deep in tournaments are brutal!!! and i only play micro limits online, cant imagine the pain of getting donked in a huge tournament like the main event, but at least Matt has half a million to help ease the pain!
