The World Poker Tour Spanish Championship got underway today at Gran Casino, Barcelona with 134 players entering day 1A of the €3,500 buy in event.
Among the participants today are Sorel Mizzi, Antoine Saout, Irish Open champion James Mitchell, and Leo Margets.
Formula 1 racer Jaime Alguersuari will be making an appearance at the PartyPoker sponsored event tomorrow and 24 online qualifiers are in line to win an additional $1 million payout if one of them wins the event with the winner getting $500,000 and the other 23 sharing $500,000.
Last year the event attracted 160 players and was won by American Mark Flowers.
