The $10,000 no-limit hold’em WPT championship event will began at noon CST on Sunday, Jan. 24, and it will crown a champion on Wednesday, Jan. 27. This is the third time that the WPT has hosted an event in Biloxi. Last year, Allen Carter topped a field of 283 players to take home $1 million. The first time the WPT came to Biloxi the event was called the Gulf Coast Poker Championship, and it was won by Bill Edler (pictured right), who took home $747,615 in prize money.
